CKU-A is going on in Dallas right now. I wasn't able to attend, even though it's only 10 minutes from my house. (Registration opened the night we brought Ian home from the hospital so my focus has been elsewhere for the past 3 months.) But I did manage to get over to the hotel to visit with some of the CKU staff that I got to know last year and also talk with some of the participants.
Anyway, CKU-A seems to be a big hit. Everyone I talked to was very happy with the product they've been getting as well as all the albums they've been making. One woman showed me an 8x8 album everyone is making, a mini album in a tin she made right before I talked with her, and the 12x12 album she's working on in her main focus class. They're not just making pages for albums, they actually get the albums too.
I know a lot of people were disappointed to hear the CKU nearest them was going to be a CKU-A instead of a regular one. So I thought I'd share some of the excitement I saw and heard about it today. The CKU staff was really excited about the positive response they've been getting.
Just thought I'd let y'all know.
