My first class of Saturday was
All Over the Map. It is by quick quotes and I loved it. We made 3 page layouts. One of them was a dedication page for a vacation that had a cute chipboard key pocket to hold room keys. The next page also had a pocket but this was a big one and had a few tags for pictures. The pages were greens, blue, and creams. They do have a companion packet with more of the same paper.

The next class I had was
Latest and Greatest with Basic Grey and like others from this conference I thought the class was great. I was able to complete all 4 pages without a problem and I did pick up the companion kit but haven’t even looked at it yet (although we did see a picture of them during class). The first page was in the Euphoria line and was blue with a light green photo mat and a pink flower accent. The second page was brown, pink (almost all covered), and white. This is the one hthat uses the white pen you can buy during class if you choose. It also uses a scalloped piece of bazzill and I loved learning to use that. In addition the instructor told us that if you are just interested in using the edges only they are selling bazzill border sets that just have the borders instead of buying the whole sheet and cutting it himself. The companion kit uses things from class so the pages won't be able to be finished without items from the class kit. The instructor gave a few really good ideas on design and explained her reasoning behind layouts.

My third class of the day was
4 Flower Techniques with SEI. I love SEI classes. The main layout is green and pink. We made about 9 flowers to put on the layout. The first 3 were done in a similar way with sewing. It was very simple sewing and I like the first and third flowers best of those. Then we made one using ribbon and a fabric doily and also some sewing. The other flowers were made with layering chipboard and stickers. We finished class a little early but my layout was finished.
My next class was another SEI class
4 Paper in Motion Techniques. The class was very fast paced in order to get the project finished and you defiantly don’t want to get ahead. It used their Chocolate line which is browns, silvers, and pinks. The techniques are really interesting and I can see the possibility of using some of them in the future. We made a page that attachés over the top of the page protector and slides back and forth to reveal separate sections of the layout. We also made a mini book that was tied to the outside of a page protector. We made a folded paper double mat and a tag that is attached on the outside of the page protector that slides up and down a ribbon on the page.

The paper tied on is a full 12 by 12 paper folded to make a mini book for photos that has windows in it. The journaling tag is on the outside of the page protector as well.
My last class of the conference was
All in the Family also by piggy tales. The instructor was the same as the day before. He is really laid back and just walks everyone through the project at a relaxed pace. This was a board book with little flaps that life up. We used the same awesome craft knives as Friday. I was able to finish the whole book during the hour class as after the first page I went ahead because the book was made similarly to the one from the day before and had full color instructions. Plus he papers are in order so it is easy to complete the pages. I really like these books and look forward to doing a few more. I also like the paper lines that are based on Fairy Tales and the new ones are printed on safe recycled paper.
