City Walk Restaurants Dinners?

We were thinking of having dinner one of the nights we were in Universal at City Walk. What are some good restaurants, reasonable prices, that maybe we could even share a few appetizers instead of entrees? There would be four of us, two adults, two teens so I dont' want any place too expensive. We are pretty varied in what we will eat....looking for some ambiance, sit down relax sort of thing.

Thoughts?

I'm pretty sure you could share the Volcano Nachos at Margaritaville. Not to mention their Jamaica Mistaica wings and Crab, Shrimp and Mushroom dip as well. It's a good time.

Yes....a dinner plate. They run around $16. The wings and dip are around $10 each.

Check out this thread about the food available at Universal. It's really quite good! I really like Louie's Pizza (thanks to Mac) on the Studio side and Thunder Falls Terrace on the Islands side. The absolute best is Mythos (on the island side) if you decide to have a great sit down lunch in beautiful surroundings at close to counter service prices. You will see a lot of Mythos pics in this thread.

Yay, thanks....I had actually read through that thread you recommended.

I'm wondering more about portion size...a nice restaurant yes with good prices yes but wondering where we could split some dinners due to portion size.

at Margaritaville, I get the quesadillas...listed as an appetizer. They give you 4 huge ones... will go back in TR and look for pic of one....

They are..it's what I always order And, I TRY to only have a bite or two of the nachos before my 'dinner' arrives.

With my giant margarita, have a hard time finishin' all 4 of those babies. ...I'm not usually successful...I pass 'em around to the rest of the table

I found the prices to be very reasonable. We had a group of 7 (2 adults, 4 boys aged 13-18, and 1 girl, 11) and we generally ordered 2 appetizers and then about 5 entrees (a few shared). This was plenty of food for us.

If you have AAA, you can get a 10% discount at most places. We were consistently under $20/pp for dinner. In fact, our bills were anywhere between $110-$130 (including tip), but I should mention that we usually drank water or ice tea with dinner (i.e. no alcohol).

I'm going to go ahead and recommend Bubba Gumps if your group is into sea food, specifically shrimp, its my favorite place to eat!

We love the Forrest Gump movie and can't wait to try
Bubba Gumps. The menu is online, and there are quite a few things I would love to try!

Just a reminder -- If you have AAA you can show your card for 10% off at most CityWalk restaurants (and restaurants and carts in the parks), including Margaritaville! Also works in the gift shop! A great way to save a bit more...

We've had dinner at Margaritaville, Bob Marley's and Pat O'Brien's and we thought the prices were reasonable and the portions were good at all three.
