We are planning our ADRs for our next trip. We would like to try Citricos with the kids. We did California Grill with the kids on the last trip with no problem. Is Citricos any different in atmosphere from California Grill that I should hesitate to bring the kids? After all it is Disney World...

Thanks in advance.

Well-if they are well behaved it won't be any sort of a problem. We see kids there all the time. Only major difference that I can see is that it is nowhere near as "busy/loud" as California Grill.

We've brought our two nieces there a few times and have never had any problems with them. However we usually don't have problems with them since we've been taking them to upscale restaurants for most of their lives. By the way they are 13 and 9.

We have ADR's for Citrico's in 2 weeks and now my son is thinking of cancelling them. He is feeling it is too upscale with the kids. They are 3 and 5 and they are extremelly well behaved in restaurants since they have been going to restaurants since they were infants. I would like to tell him that my DIS friends think it would be okay.

When we went their last summer their were LOTS of kids at Citricos and they were all very well-behaved. My kids were 14, 14 and 10 (not really *little*) but there was an baby at the table next to us in a high chair and another close-by table had a few kids with them they all looked to be under the age of 8.

While Citricos is one of the signature dining places a Disney and it is nice inside, I also found it to be very "child friendly". The servers all seemed to interact well with the kids and went out of their way to accommodate the children. Plus, they have one of the best "kiddie" desserts in the World--Dog Bones--yummy--dog-bone shaped eclairs. Delicious.

Many thanks for all the responses. I too was on the fence about going with a 3 and 5 year old in tow, but they did really well at all the table service meals when we dined at WDW (and elsewhere) before. So we will do Citricos, but I will do it on a non-date night (so no Friday or Saturday night). Making ADRs tomorrow.

Happy eating to all!

Same question, also upscale dining at GF. I have reservations for 4 but thought I would check the Mouseketeer Clubhouse childcare and if there's room, ditch the kids.

My last trip, April 1, we ate at Citrico's again. Consistently great food and wonderful service, make sure you request Gwen, she is awesome. I saw tables with children and it seemed to be fine. I think they have coloring materials available for them. I would say that night it was bustling there and the children were fine....I say bring them and enjoy. JMO

We thought about the camp/babysitting too. It is not an option of us because of the little one (2 by the time of the dinner) is not potty trained yet, and is too young. So, we will do the dinner with the kids. The coloring books will work fine. The older two will draw, and the little one eats crayons as an appetizer! (:_)))))

My DH and I agreed that in a few years, all three of them go to the camp/babysitting offered at some of the WDW hotels, and then do Victoria and Alberts without the kids. That restaurant is a definite no-kid place from what I read.

Re: Really Fun Mom's Question about the other GF restaurant (Narcosees (sic)). From what I have read, it is a very bustling place, so noise is not a problem. I think it is rather informal compared to Citrios, as it does not have table linens. Big, pricey lobsters are a specialty according to the reviews.

We also have an ADR here, and I am less apprehensive about the kids at this restaurant than at Citricos.

Many book at Narcosees (sic) with an eye to seeing Wishes from here if that helps any. Check out the time of Wishes on this website and tell your reservationist what you want to do.

Hope this helps.
