Citricos vs. Flying Fish

We have a night where we can add a meal and want to add either of these places. We've eaten at both before, Citricos in October of 2008 and Flying Fish in 2006. The reason we hesitate is that my sister had salmon at FF and didn't care for it; I had the char crusted steak and think I liked it, but I had a cold that day and had almost no sense of taste! I'm a little nervous about FF but DSis thinks we should be adventurous and try FF. I worry we won't like it and will wish we'd gone to Citricos! I way overthink these things sometimes, you know? The benefits of the Boardwalk's activities are a plus as we'll have DNiece (3 and 1/2 with us). She's been to many upscale restaurants and does well, so I'm not worried about that. Any opinions that can move me from decision-making paralysis to making a decision? Thanks!

ETA: It's worth mentioning we're doing Jiko, California Grill, and Yachtsman this trip as well. I figured I'd mention that since some people might think Citricos is similar to one of these and might recommend FF as a result. I've been reading good things about FF, but still undecided...

My problem with the FF is that it's gotten way too pretentious. I'm okay with spending a lot of money on food, but I think they've crossed that threshold of what I'm willing to pay for it. Because quite frankly, I can get great food at other places on property (including Citricos) for less, more "reasonable" prices.

If you haven't tried it yet, I suggest Jiko always. It's wonderful. Plus if you have the little one with you they can look at the animals!

IMO, the Signature Restaurants at Disney...1. Jiko, 2. Bistro (kind of signature?) 3. Citricos.

Thanks for the recommendations. Actually, we're doing Jiko (finally!) this trip! :cool1: We're also doing Yachtsman and California Grill. So excited to have a bunch of great food! :)

We like both restaurants but if you're not big fans of seafood then I'd suggest you dine at Citricos instead of Flying Fish.

Citricos! we just thought FF was "eh" we had a GREAT server but didn't think the food was anything special.

we love Citricos food and service and atmosphere!

Just curious... if I opted to have the snapper but with another side instead of the leek fondue, is FF willing to substitute? I think I'd prefer something like the potatoes that come with the steak.
