For the first time I am taking a girls trip to disney to see the christmas decorations. It will just be my mother and I (NO KIDS!!! Cant believe it!! I have 4). I have never been during this time of year and have never been to either of these places for dining. Which should I choose?

Citricos. It's much better than Narcoossees in every respect (food, service, ambience, decor).

Citricos has better food, Narcoossee's has a better view (if you can get a window seat)

guess i'm odd man out Loved loved loved loved norcossesses( yes I know I spelled that wrong) but it was still an amazing experience.....

I'm a New England gal and the seafood at Narcoossee's leaves a lot to be desired. The lobster never tastes fresh and sometimes it's downright rubbery. The best of both world's is to eat at Citrico's a little earlier, then hang around by the boat dock to watch fireworks. I think the food is much better at Citrico's.

I also vote for Citricos for food. Ambiance was lacking (we were seated by two very large groups of 10+ people) but it was still a great meal.

I just posted some pictures of our meal in our trip report on the restaurant here. if you wish to see them.

Hope this helps. :)

I have been to both and I can honestly say I prefer the overall dining experience at Narcoosee's. Citrico's might get a slight edge in the food department, but the atmosphere at Narcoosee's is much nicer. I found it to be less noisy and the views of the Seven Seas Lagoon make it a real treat. I agree about the previous comment about the lobster, but usually in FL they serve rock lobster (warm-water lobster) which is far inferior to the cold water lobster that we enjoy in New England. All of the other dishes I have been served at Narcoossee's have been excellent. If your schedule allows, reserve a later dinner slot at Narcoosee's and watch the MK fireworks from the dock. You can leave your table during Wishes; they don't mind. It makes for a very nice adults only evening.

i love love love the food at citricos. we're booked there for a 3rd time this fall. the service there has also been great both times we've been there. i agree the view to outside is a little better at narcoossee's but i like the inside atmosphere at citricos better. i've had one great meal and one so so meal at narcoossee's...service was great first time and only so so second time as well.

Citricos. Went to both within the past 2 weeks (and I've gone to them quite often over the years). Citricos is extremely consistent for the most part. Not the most creative menu, but high quality preparations of Mediterranean-inspired food. Narcoossee's has a simpler menu, and can be very good, or it can be just okay. On our last meal there (within the past 2 weeks), the service left a lot to be desired - it was the worst service we've had at a signature restaurant in years. In contrast, Citricos is where we've had some of the best service, and I love the Mediterranean music in the background. I don't think the lagoon view at Narcoossee's makes up for the rest of the dining experience - Narcoossee's is noisier and the restaurant has an odd layout (good if you have a window table, otherwise not really). Citricos is a more elegant dining room with a layout that provides views of GF's garden/marina or the onstage kitchen.

Citricos - I was so unimpressed with Narcoosees that I haven't been there in years. Of course that could also mean it is better than it was years ago. Based on the other responses it doesn't look like it. I don't have any interest in the view from a restaurant, I'll go for the one with better food.

You all are awesome!! Thanks for the responses! I ended up making ressies for citricos... so excited!

According to the menu, Narcoosee's serves Whole Maine lobster. That would be cold water?

I am really torn between AP, Yachtsman and Narcoosee's. I really want lobster or a really good steak and DH REALLY wants "Copper River" salmon. (He read it is exceptional)

I just can't get into the food choices at Citricos or Jiko, mostly because everything has sauces and I am the type of person who kind of likes her food plain and if I want to add any sauces, have it be my choice. That and I don't like fruits mixed with my vegetables, foamy stuff or alcohol in my food/desserts.

Yes, I am a picky eater. :eek::rotfl::confused3

Ok. Sounds silly but that's my troublesome choice for dinner on our arrival day Will have had lunch at Crystal palace earlier. We have an ADR for WCC and the food obviously is WAY below Citricos. But it's a fun place and DS likes it. Different flavored milkshakes, the goofy antics... But we also liked Citricos - very fine food, better than Narcoosees (been there twice). I know we will just keep our WCC dinner but I wonder about myself sometimes.

The advantage of Citricos for us that night would be easy access from MK on the monorail, the comfy chairs, the lobby band, and being able to hop on the monorail back to MK.
