Citricos or Bistro de Paris?

We have dined at both many times. Bistro de Paris used to be one of our favorites and we went there on every vacation; very adult dining experience with excellent service. We have not been in the past year and there have been many reports on here that it's not the same anymore. They are allowing children to order from the Chefs menu (downstairs) and it's become more family dining than the original upscale adult dining. I haven't heard one good review in a long time here so we haven't returned as we prefer the restaurants at the Swan and Dolphin hotels for our adult meals now.

Citricos has always been great for us. Out of the restaurants on Disney's dining plan, Citricos has the most upscale and adult experience. The menu is not very large but they change it often and every dish has been great. We've also had consistently good service here. I think their desserts are disappointing compared to the appetizers and entrees but that's probably the only negative comment I can make.

I'm always a little taken aback by people who complain about the presence of children in a restaurant in a theme park. We (my fiance, his two children and I) just had a wonderful lunch at Chefs de France in August. We got a table without a reservation at an off time of day. The service and the food were impeccable. The children are accustomed to dining in restaurants and were very well behaved in the rather tight dining room. We all loved our visit from Remy.

Citricos is lovely as well but it is more expensive and finer dining but it's at the Grand Floridian, which we don't really like. It has a snobby feel to it that just isn't what we're looking for when we're at Walk Disney World.

Bistro de Paris is located upstairs from Les Chefs and is very upscale. It does not have a children's menu, I would not expect to see small children there for that reason. If an establishment doesn't offer a menu for children, I take that to mean it is an adult experience, I have four kids and would not take the younger two there.

Op, Citricos is fantastic also and in a beautiful setting. I would choose the one that fits your plans best.

Well now I really want to try both! :thumbsup2 Tough to decide. Wonder how hard it will be to get from DHS to EP for dinner on a busy busy night? Mmm, much to ponder :goodvibes

Never been to BDP but Citricos was very good, and no rats at the table.

Bistro de Paris! I had a wonderful anniversary dinner there several years ago. We were seated by a window and were able to watch Illuminations. Food was outstanding!

To note that Bistro offers the childrens menu from the restaurant downstairs--which is why there are a lot more kids there now than before. Like Pakey, I prefer a more adult meal now and then--at least as adult as it gets at WDW!!

That aside, I like Citricos better.

I think the food is better at Citricos, which surprised me a lot (since I was under the assumption that Bistro de Paris would have superior food quality because it doesn't accept the DDP).

Also, the atmosphere of Bistro was terrible. The restaurant was noisy and crowded, and I was seated right on top of another table. As soon as I sat down, I really wanted to leave for that reason, but the service was extremely slow (my meal took over 2 hours, and I was dining alone and there were long gaps where dishes were left at the table).

No question for me - in terms of food, atmosphere, and service, Citricos is the better meal.

Citricos, no contest.
We tried Bistro De Paris this past december and did not care for it.. :sad2:
Citricos, on the other hand, has always been delicious! :thumbsup2

No rats at the Bistro, either; they're downstairs at Chef's de France. :rotfl:

I still like the Bistro; Citricos is good, too. Depends on the kind of food and atmosphere you are looking for.
