I have Christmas dinner at AP and really want Citricos, am I going to be dissapointed?

We LOVE Artist Point- it is one of our favorites- have eaten there prob 6 times. Food and atmosphere both excellent. If you like salmon, it is OUTSTANDING here. Have never been to Citricos (on my "to do" list), but I think you will like AP.

While I have not dined at either (yet :thumbsup2 ) I would have to say the ambiance at WL is gorgeous, we love the holiday decor there

Our meal at Artist Point was outstanding. Citricos was just meh.... not bad, but pretty unexciting. However, that was just for us, and one meal.

I will say that Artist Point feels more Christmas-y to me than Citricos!

Ouch...tough choice! AP and Citricos are two of my favorite WDW restaurants, with Jiko being third. I think you'll have a great time at AP and you'll love the decor at the Lodge (although I'll admit I love the Floridian at Christmastime too). I know it's a bummer not to get the place you prefer, but AP truly is as good as Citricos. Citricos food is a little more fru-fru but both are excellent.

Its clear by you posting that you have some concerns, but it might help posters respond to your concern by sharing a little more information.

Disney considers them to be of equal standing and people will continue to say they like one better than another, but what precisely is making you think you might be disappointed?

OK< ready for this, I was thinking of the food, I wanted prime rib or filliet instead of sirlion. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Never been to AP that's on my to do list but Citricos is really good & nice.

I don't think anyone could be disappointed with dining at Citricos :goodvibes
The food is amazing and the ambiance is beautiful. I make sure that it is a must for every trip.

Citirco's is highly recommended by my husband and me!! We ate there our very first night ever in WDW - it was also our first night as husband and wife!! We enjoyed it so much that we vowed to make it our first dinner for EVERY trip to WDW!!! We are taking our little girl in January 2010 and guess what the first dinner is?? CITRICO's! The atmosphere is beautiful, the staff was great, and the food was amazing!!!

We definitely prefer Citricos over AP because the feel is more upscale and the menu selections have been more to our liking than AP's have been. However, I seldom eat read meat so can't help you on the specifics.

Really they are very different experiences. If you want something a little darker atmosphere with slightly heavier, but still gourmet food, go AP. If you want a lighter atmosphere with more fish, nouvelle food, go Citricos. I've eaten at both and enjoyed them both very much. They are very different, so review the menus and think about their locations before you decide.
