DH and I thought nothing could beat fantasmic. We loved it, then we saw Cirque the next night and it was the most unbelievable show we'd ever seen. We got the cheaper tickets in Category 3 and we had amazing seats and view. We paid $65 each or so, but DH said he would have paid $100 per seat. That's saying something! It must be seen!!! For those of you who aren't sure if you should put out the extra cash.....do it. You won't regret it!! :thumbsup2

Maybe you should go to Las Vegas for your next trip. :thumbsup2
They have several different Cirque shows

I loved it as well! I have seen Mystere in Vegas and I was surprised at how La Nouba was similar in the mood but yet very different in theming at the same time. Weren't those little girls amazing?

I agree! We paid almost $400.00 for the 4 of us to see Cirque but if I could have turned right back around paid it again to see the show again! We had watched it on television and thought it was great. When we saw it live, we were in awe. The most super, terrific, fabulous show I've ever seen! Everyone should do it just once.

Thanks for the idea !! I was looking for a surprise on my mom's birthday while we are at WDW, and after reading your post I went straight to book it. If you don't mind me asking, where were you seated ? The front & center section was full so I got the next best thing available.

My Dh loved the little girls. They messed up once, but they were really really good.

Trust me. Just get the chepaer seats. Every seat was outstanding. I would have been so mad at myself if I paid for more expensive tickets. The theater is big, but not big enough where the cast looked like ants. A lot of the action takes place in the air in perfect view and the cheaper seats were great. Even if a really tall person sits in front of you, you can still see perfectly. Each row was way high enough to see over everyone's head. Our seats in section 206 were very very good. :thumbsup2

I already got them.. since it's only a couple weeks away I didnt want to take a chance and be picky,I took the first ones they offered :)
They're Section 203, Row AA. I think that's a little on the right of the stage? Really looking forward to it! Now if only I can keep my mouth shut and not spoil the surprise, that'd be awesome

I have the La Nouba DVD (bought it at the local Media Play store before it closed down) and watched it prior to going down to Orlando last year, but it pales in comparison to the real thing. I still watch the DVD, but it will never be as good as the live performance. The little girls were amazing (they are my favorite act), as well as the trampoline/power track act at the end (with the building). Will go again if the opportunity presents itself.

I was told they don't make DVDs of "active" shows. How did you luck upon the DVD?

I've seen it twice, once in the middle and once to the side, and both shows were amazing. Would love to see it a third time.

What blew me away the first time was when I noticed the band and the singer, the music is amazing, and it is all live. Disney did right when they brought them onboard.

We love LaNouba too. I have seen it 3x & would love to again. I asked DH to take me to Vegas just to see all the Cirque shows there. Someday, I hope. I'm just dying to see "Love".

We saw the "O" show at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas two years ago, and it honestly was the most amazing thing I have ever seen. We walked out in absolute awe at the end of it - we're seriously thinking of taking our girls to see La Nouba during our visit to WDW this March. Cirque de Soleil really knows how to put on a show....

I have to agree as well. I went to see the show this past march and it was worth every penney. And as far as there being bad seats, i don;t think there is such a thing with the way it is laid out. I know the 90 minute or so show went by way to fast it seemed like it had just started and it was oever. Those girls with the string on 2 sticks were worth the money alone to see. I just can't imagine how much practice it must take to be that good.

There are no DVD's of the Permenant shows in Las Vegas because of the contract that Cirque has with the hotels that they are housed in. The touring shows and La Nouba have full videos of the performances available. You can find them in the Boutique in Cirquedusoleil.com, on Amazon, in most DVD stores (Virgin Mega Store, etc), The Cirque Store at La Nouba, etc...They are also presented from time to time on BRAVO television!

As others have said though it Pales in comparision to the live performance, but it is great to have.

We have seen La Nouba countless times (we are locals), Mystere, O, Ka, Zumanity and Dralion all one time, Alegria twice and Varekai and Quidam three times. Can't wait to see Corteo when it finally gets over this way and Love if we ever get back out to Vegas. Cirque is definetly an amazing experience although it always leaves me feeling a little "un-talented"... It is absolutely amazing what the performers can do!

I couldn't agree more. It is really a great show, made even better by the lighting, moving platforms, music, and talented cast. And it makes for a really nice evening at WDW if you make a dinner reservation for before or after the performance. I like the House of Blues, but there are several other good restaurants within easy walking distance.

Enjoy.

we went first time our last trip and i really was not anticipating how fantastic it would be. i think i was literally on the edge of my seat the entire time...i loved those red silky ropey like things..amazing!... we got the cheapest seats we could and they were great but i would even pay more if i had to....i wanted to take our kids if they go on our next trip but it creeps my one daughter out( she's almost 30 and couldn't take alien encounter either :rotfl2: )

ohhhhh im so excited everyone loves this show so much. I decided to order a ticket for my solo trip in may a couple weeks ago. Ive seen the show on Bravo and i figured this is my birthday trip so why not treat myself and see it in person! Thanks so much guys for adding to my excitement! :cheer2:

I've paid to see Cirque several times and it is wonderful no matter where you sit, but the last time I went was by far the best.

My sister is a WDW CM. Awhile back, each CM was given two tickets to a performance of Cirque. When we entered the auditorium, I was a bit disappointed. Our tickets were on the side directly next to and even with the stage. I thought we would have a terrible view.

The view was amazing. I felt like I was part of the show. The performers were walking just to the side of me and in front of us. Occasionally, one would turn and look right into my eyes. Wow! It was very intense. The high flying performance went right over our heads. It gave a totally new persepective to the performance.

In short, there are no bad seats for Cirque. It is an incredible show!

I am so excited because I have been hearing inside info that Cirque is supposed to perform for free at my church(we don't pay for tickets) during all the Christmas eve services!! I can't wait! I have heard this info from more than one person at my church, so it should be official. I have never been to a Cirque performance before and we are sitting in the mezzanine level at service Christmas eve!
