Cirque to Rainforest Cafe

I have planned on the 6pm Cirque and 8PM ADRs at Rainforest Cafe. I have read everything from it takes 5 minutes to get there to 30 minutes to get there.
1. Should I change my ressies to 8:30?
2. Has anyone timed the walk?
3. How often do the boats run?
4. Should I have DH check in before we get there? (he's not going to Cirque).

Any help would be appreciated!

I would say that the walk is more like 30 minutes, depending upon how quickly you walk. It can be very crowded and the two places are at opposite ends of DTD. I never knew that you could make reservations at the rainforest cafe at dtd. I thought you could only make them for the one at the AK.

Take the ferry by House of Blues. Should be a bit quicker than walking.
