OK, so there are many Cirque shows around, from one in Florida to a gazillion in Vegas! There are a few universal tricks... don't you just groan when they go wrong? They almost never slip up, but on those rare occasions... how bad for them do you feel?

I was watching one once that my company brought us to during a conference in Vegas (it was the one at Treasure Island). Anyway, I didn't witness any mistakes, but it was clear there was a technical problem at one point in the show as they vamped for a while with floor performers only. It was inordinately long and the audience was starting to wonder. Eventually they did finish the show. I don't know if anything was different but it seemed like what people expected.

Like in everything, mistakes can happen. The cast and crew work very, very hard to avoid them and, if they do happen, to react appropriately. The team does practice emergency responses.
