I'm in the midst of planning our trip and I wanted to know if people thought this show was a "must see". I am looking for something special to do on my birthday which will include our children too (they will be almost 9 and almost 7 when we go). Can anyone who has seen it with their kids let me know. Thanks. PP

I went to see this with my husband and kids who were 9 and 12 at the time. My husband wasn't really keen on going and my kids weren't bothered either way but I had heard so many good reports about it I decided to give it a go and I was so pleased we did. We all loved it and my kids sat with their mouths gaping open most of the time in awe. I hope you decide to give it a try and hope if you do that you enjoy it as much as we did.

we went in 2005 and have booked for this year. I don't really like circus's which Cirque du Soleil isn't but thats what I had in my mind . show was amazing. we had all different age groups in our party all loved it there isn't a bad seat in the whole place

Thanks everyone - It sounds as if it would be perfect. What category of seating would you recommend?

We saw it a few years back. DS and DW thought it was brilliant. I thought it was OK but not blown away like I was expecting after reading reports, felt it was only worth about half what we paid. I love theatre, musicals, plays etc. I am not a fan of acrobatics, gymnastics etc.
It is something you have to see for yourself, I would much rather see Beauty and the Beast on Broadway again or Lion King in the West end, Cirque just didn't do it for me.

I bought my husband tickets for Christmas & we went Boxing day. He really loved it, my DD age 7 did enjoy most of it but was a bit fidgety in places.
I bought tickets through Virgin - our seats were right in the centr but quite high up. The view was great - you could see everything on the stage & in the air - there is so much going on sometimes.

same here
DH can't wait to go back
but I think I've seen it once not going to spend that much money seeing it a second time , DH can go on his own

I went with an open mind- nearly all the views on here and elsewhere are positive, I took along somone who really did not want to see " that arty rubbish"

Well I have to say we loved it- the comment from my partner was "mad as a box of frogs" its not really a show you can explain or describe, its odd weard very stimulating and prob the best 90mins you will have in a theatre (unless you see another cirque show!)

Def a must see- personally I think if your children are under 10 they may not appreciate it but everyone is different- its expensive (but cheap compared to the cirque shows in Vegas) But well worth it!

Oh and we had the cheap seats- personally I would avoid the most expensive you need to sit a little further back to appreciate everything thats going on!

We loved it and went to see another show at the Albert Hall at the beginning of the month. We sat in Cat 2 seats and they were fine.

We've seen La Nouba twice at WDW and loved it both times. We are going to see it again this year with some friends who have never been before.

Category 2 seats are quite good, that is where we have sat both times, but from talking to other people that have been, I don't think there is a bad seat in the house.

The kids will love it.

We loved it, Gavin wasn't fussed before we went but he thought it was great aswell. There isnt a bad seat in the house so dont worry about where you end up, If anything I would opt for higher so you can see the whole stage as alot there's alot of action high up

:yay:

I was disappointed, but I think it's all to do with expectations. It seems to get nothing but rave reviews, which almost sets it up for a fall. It also seems obligatory for anyone reviewing it to claim that "it's not a circus", but I'd say that's exactly what it is. A very clever, sophisticated circus, but a circus nonetheless - right down to the clowns!

There were parts of it which I thought were amazing - I especially enjoyed the little girls with the spinning reels and the acrobats who climb the walls. Some of it, though, was underwhelming. Having said that, it takes a lot to hold my attention - I can be found checking my watch during the most gripping of films at the cinema. I'm not a lover of Fantasmic, either :duck: .

It's a good few years since we saw it and I could be tempted to go back. I would advise doing as gavvy did and going with an open mind. Just don't build it up too much and I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

I am in a minority, I thought it was very boring and did not like it at all. I have seen Crescendo in Paris (when SdC was there), and that was great, but La Nouba I find very tedious. Saying that the others with me loved it.
