ok, for the last 3 years we have been tempted to go see Cirque du Soleil and last year it was sold out every day we were there. we need to book sooner. anyway, is it worth the $70+ to see? if you have seen it what section did you sit? could you see everything? can you take pictures? thanks in advance

My family and I totally enjoyed Cirque du Soleil. My youngest who was 17 at the time really wanted to see it. That was the one thing that she requested we do while at Disney. It was an amazing show. We didn't get the most expensive seats but the mid priced. We ordered soon enough that we were in the upper level as close to the middle as you can get at that price. The seats were fantastic. I personally would not want to be in the lower level (more expensive) seats because you would have to be looking UP all the time. There is so much going on and I would be afraid of missing something from those seats. To me it was totally worth it to see Cirque. I even bought the DVD when we left so we could relive the experience at home.

I gave my parents tickets to see La Nouba in Orlando. I have seen Cirque du Soleil once before in Boston (and will be going tomorrow night as well!!)

We did not pay for the most expensive seats for any of the shows, and have always been happy so far. It is a very cool show. I am hoping to see it in Orlando sometime myself, but it just hasn't fit into our schedule yet! :thumbsup2

Yes Yes Yes ------ It's Amazing """" That's all I can say === I think it's to be on the Travel Channel in early Oct... :wizard:

We went in August and it was absolutely worth every penny. I agree, don't pay for the most expensive seats. We had the midrange seats in the middle of the theater and they were perfect. I think you can see the whole stage etc better in that section. I don't think there is probably a bad seat in the whole theater because it is small but I recommend the section we sat in.

I nearly fainted at the price of three tickets (best seats), but the amount of money I waste generally, I thought why not! It was the best decision I have made in ages. the show was brilliant from start to finish and I would thoroughly recommend it to anybody. The price may seem steep but it is well worth it.

For those of us who have been, it is difficult to try to describe to someone who has not. It is simply... amazing... breathtaking... inspiring... entertaining... INDISCRIBABLE!

Once you've been, then you'll understand. So, by all means, GO! As for seat location, think of it as a live theatrical performance. Up front isn't necessarily better. Middle, of course, is best. But, there isn't a bad seat in the house. No matter where you sit, you'll leave the theater awe-struck.

We went in early September with our 3 kids (aged 8, 6, 4). We splurged and purchased the expensive seats -- third row center. I certainly can understand not wanting to pay for the most expensive seats, but I don't understand all the comments from the people who sat in the mid-range seats or upper level why they believe the more expensive seats are not worth it. They were totally worth it. There was no looking up (except for the trapeze act when everyone looks up). We had a clear view of the entire stage. The performers put forth such a physical performance that it was truly amazing to see the exertion on their faces from our up-close vantage point. This is a must see show wherever you decide to sit.

love all the quick responces. anyone take a camera? photos? thanks

I believe you can use your camera but no flash. We loved the show and thought it was well worth the money. We've even checked out the cirqe du soleil show when they come to Philly once a year. They also have a really cool gift shop ( very pricey though) that you can browse thru.

I can't wait to see it in October. I'm surprising my mom with tickets. Since this is our girl's only trip I figured now is the best time to do it. We'll be in section 103 row D. Stop by and say Hi!

It's been great reading this thread as i have booked tickets for Cirque de Soleil today and the person i spoke to recommended the catagory 2 seats which is what i went for, i was a bit apprehensive because of the price but can't wait now.

We are going for the first time next year. I got to see Mystere in Las Vegas over Labor Day weekend and it was SPECTACULAR! I am so looking forward to going next July!

Couldn't have said it better...I saw a Cirque show 10 years ago, and have seen different ones all over the country since.

It's definately magical! :wizard: And great bang for your buck IMHO.

I absolutely loved Cirque! My DD13 enjoyed it, but didn't love it. There is so much going on, and the music is amazing. It took me about half the show to realize the vocalist and band were live! I'd definitely go again. We had seats in the 2nd price range, and they were perfect.

OhmyGoshYes! It is totally worth it! I have seen many Cirque shows and this is one of my top faves, second to Mystere. I saw La Nouba a few years ago with my mom and sis, and I am taking my FI when we disneymoon in a year. It is an absolute can't miss! We did not sit in the most expensive section, but in the second most (of course, the prices have changed now, so according to the new prices it would have been the third most). Really, anywhere you sit, it is a good seat. I prefer sitting a little further back so you can really take it all in. Plus, you get a better view of the people in the preshow walking around the audience. You will not be able to take pictures while at the show. There is a really good gift shop, too.

About 5 years ago, DH and I saw a different company, Neil Goldberg's Cirque, perform almost the exact same routines as La Nouba during the performance we saw. And we paid half the price. So, to me it was not worth the money. La Nouba was rather disappointing.

We did have decent seats though. We got category 2 seats(with AP discount), section 202(I think). Some of the show takes place on the walkway that separates the upper sections(cat 2) from the lower(cat 1) sections. So, the people in the lower section, who paid more than I did for their tickets, had to turn around in their seats alot during the performance to see what was going on. While I was sitting in the cheaper elevated seats and could see everything straight on.

My wife and I have seen Cirque in many citys around the country and La Nouba is right on par with the best of them. It is an indulgance but well worth it. If you have not been to a show before, prepare to be wowed out of your mind. Sorry no pictures (they don't allow flashes) but pictures cannot describe the whole experience.

Hope you can go and enjoy!

Thanks for starting this thread! I have been wondering the same thing. DH and I keep going back and forth about it.
