Cirque du Soleil .... Category 4 seating ????

For anybody that has gone to see Cirque du Soleil what is category 4 like?

Cat 4 is the lowest one they don't sell in advance right?

If so they're pretty lousy. You can't usually see the whole stage so you miss bits of the show that happen in the periphery.

Lowest I'd go is cat 3 and if money allows I'd buy front n centre tix.

My husband and I got tickets for a wedding gift and saw the show in September on our honeymoon. I found that the theatre is quite small and there aren't any real "bad" seats. If you category 4 was your only option, I would still say to go. It is a really great show, and there are things happening all over the place, so you will still get to see a ton of action. We loved the show, and I would recommend going no matter where the seats are.

How much does the category 4 sell for?

We went on Thanksgiving & were in Section 204, Row GG, Seats 1-4. They were category 2 & absolutely PERFECT. I don't see category 4 on the seating charts. Honestly, I wouldn't pay for tickets unless I was in sections 203, 204, or 205. Front & center and category 1 is just too close in my opinion. If you get too close, you'll have to crane your neck up the entire show-to see what's above you. And if you're too far on the side, you'll miss the full effect of the show.

There honestly aren't any bad seats in the house. Category 2 or 3 seats would be better, but I honestly think I'd choose category 4 over front and center.

No way I would ever sit front and center. JMHO. WAY to close as there is action all around and above the stage. I have sat in Cat 2 seats at two Cirque shows and they were perfect. I would sit Cat 3, but Cat 4 is all the way to the sides and I would not sit there if I could help it. Although I would just be happy to be there.

For those of you who have never sat front and center, you have no idea what you are missing. We've seen this show 3 times, in 3 different locations and our group of 8 adults will unanimously say that front and center is the best. There is a lot of eye contact and playful interaction between the performers and audience that is missed once you move back behind those first few rows.

Low in section 204 is also very nice but I'd still take that front row if possible.
