Cirque Discount ?

I see in the new Member Newsletter that we get a 25% discount off of certain Cirque performances.

I was wondering if anyone could give me an idea of just how much these tickets would end up costing before I call. Just a rough idea would be fine.

The Cirque du Soleil® show La Nouba™ at Downtown Disney® West Side at the Walt Disney World® Resort is offering Disney Vacation Club Members a 25 percent discount on the order of category 2 tickets (for the Member and as many as three Guests) for shows through Sept. 30, 2006.

Please note that the show doesn't take place on Sundays and Mondays, as well as May 21-June 5, July 30-Aug. 1 and Sept. 17-25. In addition, the discount offer isn't valid July 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29. Availability is limited, and restrictions apply. Advance reservations are required. (You may place ticket orders as far as 30 days before the show.)

Call Member Services to order these discounted tickets.

Remember to bring your Disney Vacation Club Member ID to the show, as you must present it at the Cirque du Soleil box office at Downtown Disney West Side in order to receive your discounted tickets. Plan to arrive at the theater at least one hour before show time.

The official Cirque website lists the categaory two tickets at $77 adult and $62 child plus tax so guess the dicounted rate would be $57.75 and $46.50 plus tax.
Every year I say I am going to do this and every year I don't. This year I think it the time. I can't make reservations until August so will have to mark the calendar so I don't forget as there will only be 2 days I can go since they are not having the show for most of our trip. Good luck with your decision.

Thanks for the info! I will have to see what DH thinks. I have heard it is a really good show and we would love to see it. Maybe the discount will be enough to prompt us to go this time.

It is definitely worth it! We have gone 3 times, and I could go every trip, it was so enjoyable!

Does anyone remember if they extended the discount into early Nov last year? I was trying to remember which discount I used last year in Oct, I think it might of been the Disney Visa discount.

I was wondering the same thing. We are going in October and I want to see Cirque this trip, so I'm hoping they'll extend the DVC discount or maybe some other discount (Disney Visa, AP, AAA, etc). If not, we might just go anyway, but the 25% sure would be nice!
