Circuit City G.O.B. Sale

DH went to Circuit City yesterday because here in Lakeland they've started advertising their G.O.B sale. He found most of the prices had been jacked way up & then marked down 10% - which was higher that the products originally sold for. Some sale!

Going out of business is big business today. I don't thin I've seen a good deal at a going out of business sale yet. We have a regional furniture store that has been going out of business for going on a year now, and they still are fully stocked.

that seems to be standard operating procedure for the liquidators, raise the prices and go from there, I was surprised to hear they will honor gift cards - thats unusual

CC has made bad decision after bad decision after bad decision financially and business-wise. Does this really surprise anyone that they have hired these types of people to run their liquidation?

Naw, that place is booming. It's D&D Furniture, which had some pretty nice furniture and not overly expensive.

We drove by one circuit city today, and the lot was fuller than the day before Christmas...

The one in the other direction just closed the store that they had had for years and built a brand new one right next to it, and just opened about a month ago... DUH!!!!! So now there will be 2 empty CC buildings at the local mall. LOL
