Circle Journal Sign-ups *Closed but Active*

Hi everyone.... sorry I haven't posted in the thread to this point.

I'll admit I'm relatively new to circle journals (I've done one on passporter forums before), but I've been helping GF with our Disney trip albums for a while. Hopefully you all won't mind me stepping in here to join you all! :)

*waves hello*

Welcome to the most addicting spot on the web. It's like Pringles once you've swapped, you can't stop :)

Hey EC!!!
Welcome to our little corner of the World!! Sit back and relax and never ever drink and DIS. It can be dangerous to your monitor. We tend to get a little nutty around here and crack each other up!

I've got my theme! "Always room"

[Pause while you all go :confused3  ]

as in what have you always got room for? Originally I anticipated this as a favourite recipe, then I thought you could add bought snacks/confectionery, restaurant meals etc. But if there is anyone out there not interested in food and drink at all (pause for a tumbleweed moment....) it could be your pets, something you collect (like scrap stuff:rotfl: ) - what is there that always makes you say "one more won't hurt...."

What do you think?

I like it. I always have room for more pretty paper, more GI Joes, Daylillies, one more Dove Chocolate piece. :rotfl:

:welcome: EC!

It'll be good to get a guys view on things and a masculine touch to the books. Thank you for introducing yourself.

I would like to join in. My theme will be What am I Reading Now? It will be about the book and things you are reading. If you don't have time to read your own things it might be what you are reading your children or that all you have time to read are instructions off of things.

Rebecca

I would like to join this, but I won't be home until the 24th of August. I would be able to complete my CJ by the 15th easily, but just want to make sure that you all know this ahead of time! :)

Thanks!

I will let you know my theme at a later time! :)

I won't be home til 25th :rotfl: Hopefully I'll get everything done that week then pack the kids back to school the next week.

I love the "what are you reading now" idea BTW

The main group is now full. I'll leave this open for a few more days to see if others want to do a smaller group, 6 to 9 people.

i think on doing a recipe theme.

the themes i'm thinking of are:
college dinner time
and drinks (alcohol drinks). i'm leaning more towards the drinks. the other thing is i don't know what to call the book. any ideas are welcome

My theme is Quotes That Inspire You. I have a huge collection of quotes starting from jr. high and love to collect more.

what does college dinner time mean? I didn't go to college so I don't have anything college-y to share.

Ditto! I don't think our school dinners are what you are looking for :lmao:

How about calling it "Cocktail hour" or "Happy hour" (to cover those who prefer a nice cup of tea)

Another who didn't go away to college. And no cocktails for me either. Would appetizers be acceptable? I do know how to eat. :rotfl:

I'm going away for college so i need to have some cheap recipes. i would have to change the name of the college recipes.

i like the happy hour or cocktail hour.

AlexWyattMommy- the way i was thinking is that everyone just add a couple of different ways they mix there drinks. eg. i used to mix sobe with vodka.

Why not call it budget/beginner recipes? Or something along those lines, reprising "Simple cooking for small households":lmao: (That was a book my mum had for her 21st which was out of date even then, with bits like "Now more poeple have a daily than a live-in cook...." )

I've got lots of cheap and/or staple recipes - I put some together to make recipe books for my 2 boys (planning ahead - they're 13 and 7 :rotfl: )

I like the budget/beginner meals for the college dinner theme. Something other than Ramen Noodles, jelly & bread and hot dogs when there was money left over. :rotfl: I'm telling you, I ate so many Ramen Noodles, I couldn't stand the smell of them for years later.

I don't do alcohol anymore and when I did it was very unimaginative. But hey, I'm capable of looking things up on the internet if you choose that theme. It won't be very personal, but I promise it will be pretty.
