.... because these things are important to some people *cough* DH *cough*

We're staying in OKW so we don't have a counter service breakfast option at the resort and will be eating in the parks on the days that we decide to have breakfast (as opposed to the days that we sleep in waaaaay past breakfast because YAY FOR AN ADULT ONLY TRIP!!!!).

I've heard that Gaston's Tavern has good cinnamon rolls and chocolate croissants (my favorite). However, when I was looking at where we can stop for some Starbucks, I noticed the Main Street Bakery also serves cinnamon rolls and chocolate croissants. Are they exact same thing??

If you are going to go to Epcot- the Boardwalk Bakery has coffee drinks and an AMAZING Cinnamon Roll... its available all day- but soo awesome.

cant speak for if they are the same at gaston's and main street bakery but most of the starbucks locations in the parks seem to have a mix of your usual starbucks pastries and disney stuff. Also, garden grill does a huge cinnamon roll they bring out at breakfast. I have also had a huge mickey shaped cinnamon roll from a cart outside of Tusker House in AK that was very good!

I recommend Gaston's at MK and Kusafiri bakery in Africa at Animal Kingdom

What was great about Gaston's was they put them in plastic close-able containers.
We took them and got spots for Wishes, sat and enjoyed our snacks.
AND we've gotten them to go, taken to hotel and had for breakfast in morning.

Does anyone know if the Gaston cinnamon rolls have raisins or are they plain? My Hubby loves cinnamon rolls too but hates raisins.

Definitely plain. I think they'd have a lot of unhappy folks if they included raisins by default.

(As a raisin lover, now I wish they had the option to get them WITH raisins, too! :o)

This question makes me smile!

When DD who is now 10 was 4 (I think she was 4 LOL) back when they had Kim Possible missions around WS. She and I were alone in WS while my older 2 DDs went with DH to ride TT. We all had been playing Kim Possible and she was convinced that we should go on a "mission" to find a cinnamon roll in WS. She and I talk about going on "missions" in Disney to find cinnamon rolls to this day!

Happy to know about the BW bakery's cinnamon rolls, we're staying at BC next time.

Gaston's cinnamon rolls are delicious and huge. I read on here to ask for extra icing and they *poured* it on and everyone around us was totally jealous but I thought all the extra was a bit too sweet. Just wanted to add - OKW does have QS breakfast by the pool. Unless they took it away recently and I missed it?

As mentioned, you can get the Gaston's rolls in "to go" containers. So get a couple to go rolls at the end of your MK day.
(Have to get a bag at any retail shop)

Next am in the OKW villa, make a pot of coffee, nuke the Gaston's rolls and enjoy a great, quiet breakfast on the OKW balcony :goodvibes

Call me crazy but I booked Garden Grill at Epcot for our upcoming trip JUST for that cinnamon bun skillet thing! (Well that and we scored a PPO so that was a bonus too!) Although we did enjoy the total experience here last time too, but the cinnamon bun was the icing on the cake (pun totally intended).

Well, if you look at my profile photo, you can see that this was a topic of interest in my family. When my nephew was in high school, he got a cinnamon bun in the Main Street Bakery (before it became Starbucks). See photo. We also did the Cape May Cafe breakfast, and we were amused at how small the cinnamon buns were in comparison.

The Ale and Compass Lounge in the Yacht Club has a delicious cinnamon roll for breakfast. DD likes it much better than the one at Gaston's.

They sort of do. It's a very limited menu (bagel sandwich, oatmeal, biscuit & gravy) and no real place to actually eat - it's meant to be to-go.

Gaston's cinnamon rolls were horrible. Very dry pastry. Even with a lot of gooey icing on top. We threw both of them away after a few bites.

I agree with PP, the one I had was cold and very dry and this was relatively early in the morning - definitely before lunch. I loved the Main Street Bakery version, but these seem to pale in comparison. I have read that some people do get them served warm. Do I have to ask to have them warmed up?
