Can someone please tell me what this actually is? On all our trips we have never watched it.

SPOILER FOLLOWING!!!

It's a big movie theater actually. The shows starts with an old movie, a cellphone ringing, appearing to come from the audience. So the "owner" (an actor, of course) steps on to the stage 'cause he doesn't get reception from his seat. The people in the movie on the screen are annoyed for him disturbing their glamourmoment and so the magician in the movie casts a spell to make our cellphone guy appear IN the movie.
Once in, he struggles to get out and sort off goes trough different classic movies, discovering the history of movie making. It goes from soundless, black and white, early color to the high tech color and sound movies we've got now and meanwhile shows us the adventures of our cellphone guy interrupting a lot of different movies such as Star Wars and others.

I really enjoyed the show and would like to see it again this time. The children were happy to sit and watch the screen but I don't think they enjoyed it as much as the other shows in the studios.

It's a truly fantastic show. A unique gem for DLP and I'll never get bored of it.

The story is simple and works well given the language barriers. It's also very well edited.

I'm surprised it isn't shown in other parks.

::yes::::yes::::yes:: - love Cinemagique, we first saw it at DLP when my DD was 5, and no trip to DLP is complete for us without watching this (at least twice).

:scared1: Spoiler alert!!!

You must see it, it's fantastic :goodvibes

I know :scared1: I think it's the first time I've ever seen anyone write down the plot :faint:

They have recently changed some of the clips so it's an excuse to go and see it again :thumbsup2

Thankyou might watch this on our next trip beinng 6 months pregnant Im looking for as many opportunities for a sit down as possible :rotfl::rotfl:

Before the Tower of Terror this was my favorite Studios attraction. I cannot miss it every time I go to DLP.

haha Sorry! Just trying to give a detailed description. I put a warning in my message and a few empty lines so people can skip it if they don't want to read it yet. :goodvibes

This week so it's really recent :goodvibes
Haven't seen it yet myself as with all this blasted rain I didn't get to the park this week but some of the scenes behind the doors have been changed (hopefully the Exorcist one-never understood having that in there when it's being shown to lo's :rolleyes2), plus other scenes that I wouldn't mention as not to give more of the plot away ;)

I LOVED IT!

I hope it's on youtube somewhere so I can show my husband- Martin Short is such a gem. :goodvibes

Hello all, i'm back after a fab trip and saw this about four times over the week!! lol first time was with all the old clips we saw last year and then next 3 were all with new clips added :)
My kids loved it!! (thats why we saw it so much)
They loved the new clips added as they were ones they knew :) and let me just add just catching a little Jack sparrow made my day too :D

Oh this is fabulous news! :hyper:  As always - you're a fountain of wisdom and I bow down to you Carrie :worship: - now go check it out and let us know if it is still as brilliant as always! :goodvibes

With regards to the exorcist part - I've never liked or understood it neither. I don't think it's appropriate for me to watch, let alone minors!

It's always been a favourite of mine - and I always have a wee tear in my eye at the end :)

Oooohhhhhh, very excited now, thanks for posting :thumbsup2

Really great to hear that they have updated it. :thumbsup2 And the Jack Sparrow addition is particularly welcome ;)

On one of our visits George sat next to my brother in law, the theatre was half empty so Matthew was wondering why this guy should choose to sit next to him :lmao:

I love Cinemagique, enjoy it every time. :)
