Cinema at DTD is big - 24 screens.

Never needed (or tried) to book and been there many times over the years.

They do a cheaper matinee showing of many films in the lateish afternoons on week days.

Last year they did a ticket price which also included a snack and a beverage I think it was about $4 more but you could get free refills on the soda:thumbsup2 Still cheaper that buying everything separately;) We've never had a problem getting tickets or seats in the DTD cinema the seats are very comfy and the theatres are very modern all of the latest gadgets etc.

thank you,for all of your replies.this is one part of the holiday, she is really excited about! never mind the hot air balloon trip.MNSSHP,helicoptor flight.no,it's going to the cinema:confused3

LOL!! That's so typical.....rather like at christmas when they have more fun with the box than the toy! ;)

Who did you book your hot air balloon flight with? I've been thinking about booking one as a surprise for my DH.

after recommendations on here,i have booked it through www.thompsonaire.com
i just hope i can get madam,out of bed early enough.it is a 6 a.m start,but hopefully,it will be worth it.
just have to stick,to my diet now,or it won't get off the ground:scared1:
it costs $180 each, but children go free.

When we first went to WDW in 1998 we went to see Mulan. (the ticket seller had trouble with my accent "Do you mean MulARn?")

I'd never been to such a modern cinema and we plonked ourselves down in the disabled/companion seats. After a few minutes we realised what we'd done and moved a row or two back. We spent the next 10 minutes watching 3 more families do the same as us!

Anyway, it's lovely to visit the cinema on an August afternoon to avoid the heat for a couple of hours.

We are thinking of going to the cinema at Universal or DTD to see Dark Knight because we cant be bothered with the crowds for the first few weeks at the cinemas here so thought it would make for a nice evening or afternoon trip.

We went to City Walk to watch Prince Caspian when it was released earlier this year and they also do a Meal and Movie ticket deal which worked out to be really good value.
I don't know about the one at DTD but the props advertising upcoming movies in the Universal cinema were amazing. There was a full sized, and very realistic looking, Hulk. A huge Kung Fu panda with its foot in the air so if you positioned yourself correctly it looked as if it was kicking you in the head. A barbers chair that you could sit in with Zohan behind you posed as if he was cutting your hair, and many others. If you chose Universal then definatley take your camera and turn up a little earlier than you normally would.
