I am too late to make ressies for Cindy's but I would really like to go. Has anyone ever waited and called 24 hours before like they recommend when you call? The man at WDW said that is my best bet. I don't know if I should take the chance...we will be there for 2 weeks or if I should just make a ressie somewhere else and give up the idea.

Any recommendations would be helpful.

Thanks,
Lisa

It won't hurt to try. I never tried it personally BUT I did have to cancel a CRT PS within 24 hours (my son got sick) so cancellations do happen.

you could make a PS somewhere else & then call & if you can get into CRT cancel the other PS. That way if you can't get into CRT you will have some place to go :)

Several times I have heard of people getting a PS in that 24 hour window. I believe so many tables are held for Concierge guests. If those are not used then the tables are made available. And sometimes people cancel. Good luck!

I have heard of people getting in 24 hours before the breakfast. It is worth a phone call. Good luck.:D

Last year, we called 24 hours ahead, first thing in the A.M. and got a res. for Cindy's table for the next day after having called every day for a month! It's worth a try.
Also, the advance time has changed to 90-day advance, so unless you are going soon, you may be able to get reservations- I did this today and they are wide open for 90 days ahead, because no one knows the time changed.

lisam,

I would say, don't make any promises to the kids, but there may be hope, yet.
We were sucessful in booking a cancelation on our last visit in July. I called Disney Dining at least once a day after we arrived and asked them to check for anything within the remaining dates for our visit. After about the 3rd day of calling, they found something available for 3 days later.

We wanted a table for 8 or 2 tables of 4. I knew that this would be near impossible, so I told them our optimum would be 8, but we could make 1 table for 4 work if that is all they had.

They only found a cancellation for a table for 4--so I let my sister have the ressie since she has the two daughters and they were very thrilled....

Good luck to you--(I've got my fingers crossed for you, too)
In the meantime, it wouldn't hurt to have a back up ressie, just in case.

We made a last minute trip (started planning only a month out) for a weeks stay this past April. I tried every single day and sometimes several times a day. The morning we were getting ready to walk out the door I looked at my husband and said, "Let me try one last time so I know I did my very best". I got a PS for four for the CRT for the very next am AND a PS for four for the second morning of our stay for the Princess Storybook Breakfast at Epcot!!!!!!!! I couldn't hardly contain myself and the CM on the phone was just as surprised as me!!!...if that ain't a whole truckload of pixie dust I don't know what is!!! We have laughed about this since then and have incorporated this story into our scrapbook for this particular trip. DO NOT GIVE UP!!! We have done these meals several times before so it wasn't a do or die situation for us THIS time. I'll be sending you pixie dust for your attempts.:earsgirl:

Don't give up hope! We also missed the 60 (now 90) day window last month. Yesterday (Aug 20th) I called and got a resv for Sept 21st for the 3 of us. Needless to say, my wife was thrilled.

Keep trying, you never know!
