Cindy's Royal Table for boys

We have been thinking about this for weeks and talking to the boys about it and ultimately have decided not to do it. The cost is just not worth it for the minimal (if any) enjoyment they would get.

When we went to Akerhaus a couple of years ago (maybe 3 yrs?) , they had no idea who any of the princesses were and it was just....... awkward. (The princesses were great and very nice to my boys, even held their hands and walked around w them for the princess parade. My boys just didn't have a clue LOL.) Last summer we had FP+ to meet Anna and Elsa, because they liked the movie and I wanted to meet them. It ended up being a bust. My older DS hid behind me the entire time and my younger DS just stood there frozen (pun intended!) and wouldn't say word.

For the longest time I've had it in my head that "we HAVE to eat in the castle". I've come to the realization that we don't! Why should I spend the money when it will be less then enjoyable for every one just to say we did it.


We've already been to BoG twice and been to all the Star Wars meals. This time we are going to try the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Review! It's something we've never done before, but I think it will be fun!

We, for 15 years have said the same " we NEED to eat in the castle just once" too. Trust me , you don't. while we were sitting there we were saying that we could have picked two other meals for the same dining credits, and it made it more disappointing. I think it's proof that everyone has different likes and just because there's "hype" over anything, doesn't mean you will think the same. We have also done the same with hoop dee doo and haven't tried it yet either. It doesn't look that appealing to us, but the reviews are so great, we've always felt like someday we'd try it. But now probably won't. We've done the same with resorts. We booked CBR 4 times now, and let the reviews talk me out of it and ended up switching to POR, POFQ, AND CSR 3 of those times. This past trip we finally stayed at CBR and it was our favorite of the 4, and I'm so mad I let others opinions change my mind. From now on, we're going with our gut. It's nice to hear others opinions, but it's good we don't all think alike, imagine how hard ADRs would be THEN.

We didn't do CRT, but my sons loved Akershus. The princesses fawned over the boys and made a big fuss about them, which was wonderful.
