Cindy's ps now 90 days -- my experience

As of today, Cindy's is taking ps on a 90 day out basis. I called right at 7 am EST, and finally got through 1 minute later. I then was on hold for 58 MINUTES!!! I don't know if this delay is typical, but be aware that it can take that long. At least it was worth it -- I have a PS on October 18th at 10:20!

This is probably the only day it will be this bad because an extra 30 days of people were calling to get their PS.

I figured that 7:00 would be an awful time to call, so I waited until 9:00. I used the toll-free Disney Club line, was put on hold for less than a minute, and got Cindy's for 10/30 at the exact time I wanted. It was a breeze today (and I've been in the thick of things with the 6:59 a.m. crew).

For anyone who wants reservations in the 61-90 day range, call today. I'll bet you get what you want.

Congrats on your PS! I was on hold for 45 minutes, and finally gave up, thinking that even with the increased volume, they'd be booked by the time I finally got through! (Either that, or I was stuck on permanent hold!)

After seeing your post, I decided to go for the "long shot," and I called at 9:00 a.m., and GOT MY PS's!!!!!! Wahoo -- thanks so much for posting -- your post gave me hope! We have PS's on November 1 at 8:20 -- I can't believe it!!!

My guess is there are folks who don't know to call 90 days in advance yet. There are also all the extra 30 days of people calling who do know that they can go ahead and book it.

It leaves me to wonder if the extra 30 days will make things easier, about the same or more difficult once the transition is ironed out. I say that because my vacation is not until 4/24 and I wonder if it will be worth the effort and how much effort it will require.

What's your sense of this?

I got it too and I just called at 9:30! I wasn't even interested in going to CRT again as we went last May. It was such a pain to have to call that I didn't want to go through it again. Well, since I am taking my oldest DD this time and she has never been before to CRT I went for it. I also had to call for two other PSs so I figured why not. I can't believe I got it! My oldest DD will be so excited to eat in the castle! I love this 90 day deal! LOL! BTW, my date I wanted for October 20th still had many, many times available and I had my choice. Before we had to get there at the crack of dawn but this time I got it for a later time so we don't have to rush. I'm so happy!

For those of you who think it's too late to call... make that call! I just called and made reservations. I was only on hold for about 30 seconds, and I got an 8:10 seating on my first choice of dates (10/14)!! The CM I spoke with said that they had over 250 calls at opening, and that the first hour was crazy, but things are calming down. Good luck getting your reservations.

Wow, this is unbelievable!! When I heard that today was the "transition" day for the new policy, I was bummed, just thinking there's no way I'd ever get through for November 1st or 2nd with so many people calling on the same day! But after my amazing luck of getting a PS for a party of 6 on November 1st, I decided to see if my luck would hold out, and I called back (at about 9:45) to see if I could get anything for our WHOLE party (13) on November 2nd. (I didn't even think they allowed parties that big at CRT, but I saw someone else post about getting a PS for 13, so I decided to try.)

Well, I got a PS for ALL of us at 8:10 on November 2nd! Wahoooooooooooo! So I went ahead and cancelled the party of 6 of November 1st -- that was just because I thought we'd never get our whole party in.

Now I'm just thanking my lucky stars that we were fortunate enough to be within the 90 days on the first day of the 90 day policy! I don't think it will ever be this easy again to get CRT!!

I also called at 7am and was on hold for 45 minutes, but I got my PS for 10 people on Oct. 18 at 10:20. I had my choice of times too. I made PS for Crystal Palace at the same time. Because I was on hold for so long, I didn't think I would get CRT but gave it a try and it worked. I hope everyone enjoys their breakfast with the princesses, I know my DD, DDIL and I will. This breakfast is for us. My DH, DS, DSIL and 4 DGS' should enjoy it too.

If you booked a ps for a large party at Cindy's, did they tell you that the tables would be split? I'm thinking of doing the same, but not happy if we have to split up...

I made a ps at LeCellier for a party of 9, and they are splitting us up, too. Yuck!

I had a much easier time calling on Saturday for my 60 day PS than I did this morning. I was trying today for October 4, which would have been 60 days tomorrow. I called right at 6:59, got circuits busy, blah blah blah......I gave up and tried again at 7:40, waited on hold for 45 minutes only to be told that October is sold out

On Saturday morning, I called right at 7AM, with only one phone. I had my choice of times....good thing, since that is my daughter's birthday

The CM I spoke to this morning was wiped out already, LOL

Not so lucky here. Got up at 3:45 CA time AM got through at 7:01 FL and was on hold for 40 minutes. Gave up as I was getting worried about the phone bill and had no clue how much longer it could be.

Got up at 630 CA time (930 FL) and tried...no such luck.

My problem is that today IS my 60 day out for CRT so knowing the whole 90 day thing didn't really give me an edge.

I live in Portland Oregon and called this morning at 8 am my time (11am-EST). I was on hold for about 10 minutes made ps's for CP for October 14th- before MNSHHP NAD THEN TOOK A Stab at getting ps's for Cindy's for Oct. 13th- any time. I didn't really think I'd get anything, but what the heck.... I tried anyway. There was a 9 am opening and I swooped it up! Talk about lucky! I am very excited!

Disneyfan551, they did tell us that our group would have to be split into two tables, which may not be near each other. That was fine with me -- I was just thrilled to get the PS! I am hopeful, though, that we will end up together or close to each other. On our last trip, we had a group of 14, and had PS's at Tony's (during the CP rehab). They told us we'd be split up, but when we actually got there, they were able to seat us at one big table. So it's possible to all be together, but you can't count on it -- so I wouldn't make the PS's if it was totally unacceptable to be split up.

Hi all --

My wife and I woke up at 6:30 this morning to get ready for the big 7:00 am phone call. She couldn't stop saying that I was nuts. Well as the clock on the tv news channel struck 6:59, I started dialing in on our house phone. My wife used her cell phone. After dialing in 4x I was put on hold. My wife continued to dial, but constantly received a busy signal or the "all circuits are busy" message. At around 7:20 she got through but was put on hold. I also tried my cell phone, and at around 7:30 I was put on hold. FINALLY at around 7:45, I was startled when a Disney rep answered on the house phone that I used, and then asked for and GOT CINDY'S RESERVATIONS FOR 8:05 on 10/27. HOOORRRRAAAAYYY !!!!

Ya' know I must be nuts, because I probably spent 30 extra dollars waiting on hold on three phones dialing from Philly to Fla. But I'm sure it'll be worth it for my wife and I and our three kids (DS 9, DD6, DS3).

Today was the easiest CRT ps I've done! I called at 1:45 with DC toll free number and got through in less than 3 minutes. I was able to pick my date and time - 10/27 at 8:20! I'm sure all this week while word is just spreading it will be much easier for people to get CRT ps's that are in the 90 day range but haven't hit the 60 day mark.

I count my good fortune this year for easy CRT ps, I know next year it'll be back to the early wake-up, exactly 90 days out etc!!!

I'm glad I read this post. I was worried about DU getting the reservation for me and was also going to try at exactly 60 days. I just checked my DU itinerary and I Beth got me a 10:20 ps on 11/2. My dd's will be so thrilled!

Piece of cake!

I called this morning at around 7:30. Got through to a CM within 10 seconds, and had three different choices available for Cindy's breakfast on 10/26. Took one at 8:50, happy as a clam.

Granted, there are only two in our party, but wow! I decided to check on a whim, figuring everything would have been cleaned out yesterday. What a wonderful surprise!
