Somewhere in my head I thought that one of my memberships (DVC, AP or DDE) offered an advantage in booking CRT PS. Can anyone help an old lady who can no longer keep track of anything?

Not that I know of. You can book it at 180 days now.
Starting February 1, the price has increased quite a bit and they will no longer accept the DDE card.
You must pay in FULL with CC (only, no checks or other payment methods) unless you are on the dining plan...then you will just provide a CC for a no show charge.
This is what I think you were trying to remember, it was listed on another site
New Dining Reservation Policy for Disney Resort Guests - Beginning July 18th, if you have a confirmed Walt Disney World Resort Reservation (with confirmation number) you can book your dining plans for your entire trip (up to a 10 day stay). This begins 90 days in advance of your arrival date. DVC members are advised to call DVC to make dining reservations, however you can call the main WDW DINE line and provide your confirmation number. Guests of the Dolphin, Swan, Shades of Green and Downtown Disney Resort hotels are not able to use the new booking window
So you get an advantage if you have a long stay, but i believe the number of tables available for this is limited. The booking window is 180 rather than 90 as listed.
