I am considering trying to get CRT for breakfast one morning for our group which will include DD9 and DD2, and our nephew who is 8, as well as myself, DH, and DB and DSIL. None have us have ever eaten at CRT, let alone for breakfast. Does everyone enjoy it, even the guys, or is this just a little girl thing? I'm thinking that DH and DB would enjoy eating with beautiful princesses, no? :confused3 What about an 8 year old boy? :confused3

Also, I am assuming that the restaurant itself will be beautiful because it is, after all, the inside of the castle. Is it something to see, aside from the princesses? princess:

Also, what about the food? I know that I may not even get the PS, but I want to give everyone good info and, if they want to go, then I will give it my best shot to get the PS. Maybe I'll get lucky. :teeth:
Thanks

We just got back this weekend, and we had kicked off our holiday with CRT. The princesses do not eat, they circle the tables once you have had a chance to eat your breakfast. Our ds5 seemed to enjoy it, but was a but unsure of the characters at first. Our dd3 loved it, but was pretty shy once they got nearby. The princesses all paid as much attention to our son as well as dd, but that will also depend on how much the boys want to interact. Everyone is in their roles there - the wait staff addressed the adults as milord, milady, and the kids as prince, princess etc. The restaurant is nice, especially if you get a window seat. We throughly enjoyed it and it was a magical way for us to start the holiday. The food was good (I really liked the cream cheese stuffed blueberry pastry thing). The only negative thing about doing this the first day, was that this was the first experience with characters for my kids, and I think they took a while to warm up. There were more princesses there than I thought there would be too. We also went to Chef Mickeys and while that was good too, I enjoyed CRT much more.

Thank you, Striker, for the information. Sounds like it would be enjoyable for everyone. In our group, even the grown ups fall under the Disney spell. :wizard:

Although I have turned into a Queen many moons ago, my sister and my four friends and I will be dining at CRT on our 2005 Girls Trip and we're excited!!!!!! Have a good time and enjoy!

Hi. I don't know about Cindy's breakfast but my boys ages 5 and 2 loved the princess bk at Akershus. Princess Jasmine kissed my big boy, leaving a huge lipstick mark on his cheek. Considering they are boys, the Princess breakfeast will have more bang for your buck and its tons easier to book!

We ate there last April when my son was 10. He enjoyed the interaction very much, more so than DD who was 4. She got so shy seeing princesses up close and personal that she wouldn't eat, wouldn't talk either. She finally opened up to our last princess, Belle who talked to my daughter about the dress she was wearing. It had all the princesses on it, homemade, and Belle asked if that was her on the dress. Then she twirled with my DD, who then opened up.
DS was nicknamed the giggler by Mary Poppins, and all the princesses proceeded to call him by that name. They were great with him and he enjoyed the attention of all the pretty girls.

When my DS was 10 he disliked Cindy's. He thought the food, stained glassed windows and pewter mugs were more interesting than Princesses.
He was a good sport for his sister, age 7.

When my DS was 13 he loved the Princesses - he had no problem in jumping up, placing his arm around their waists and having his picture taken -

My ds has been going to all the princess meals since he was 2. He loves the attention the princesses pay to him. He even asked Snow White for a kiss last year. I do wish they had a hero meal to take him to also but he doesn't mind the princess meals at all.

Our DS5 LOVES the princesses. On his last visit, they made such a fuss over him, signing and kissing his autograph book. We ate lunch in the castle and Cinderella came down while we waited and he was in heaven. He really thought (and still does!) that she came down just for him!! (BTW, Ariel is his favorite... but don't tell him I said that, it embarrasses him soooo much. Personally though, I think it is her "little bathing suit" ;) )

We have PS for b'fast (thanks DIS for the tips!!) in July... he's gonna be so surprised! :earboy2:

If I'm not mistaken hasn't CRT changed lately. I thought all that was there now was Cindy, Prince Charming, the Fairy Godmother, and the two mice. All the other Princesses were moved over to Restarant Akershus. I understand even Ariel (with her legs) is at Akershus for lunch only.

I took my 8 y/o GD to CRT in January and I think her dad (who just happens to be single) enjoyed it as much as she did. I'm taking my younger son and D-I-L in Sept and my elder son asked me the other day if we were going to eat in the castle with the Princesses again. I told him no, that only Cinderella was at the castle now, and he said that was good because my younger son would get in trouble there. My younger son heard us and said fine we could eat at the castle in Norway, at which point my D-I-L punched him and said we would see Mickey, Goofy, and the chipmunks if he was lucky.

I'm a mom of 2 boys (3 1/2 and almost 2) and we're eating at CRT on our first morning when we go back in Aug/Sept. My oldest ds loves all the Disney movies and he does like the princesses, too, so I think he'll enjoy it! It would be awesome though if they had a Hero character meal- I think he'd be so excited for that!

My husband definitely enjoyed having his picture made with Jasmine.

The food is yummy, though a bit heavy.
