We hope to take our kids to Cindy's in Dec. I have heard that it is on the 2nd? floor. I am assuming there is wheelchair access, where is the elevator?

Also wanted to update everyone on our room ressies. This is what I have been told...... You can not have a rollaway bed in any of the all star rooms.SO, I decided to reserve 2 connecting(or adjoining)rooms , 1 with a king size bed & the other with 2 double beds. Only thing that I was upset about was that I REALLY wanted to stay in the Toy Story building( my DS LOVES that movie) but they informed me that Toy Story building has no king beds. Instead we booked the Fantasia building. I know we will enjoy it but I had my hopes up already. Can't wait!!!!!! :-)

Thanks for all the good advice!

The elevator is right next to the stairs. When they come to announce your royal party they will take your party to the elevator. It is reserved only for disabled parties all others must take the stairs.

Yep, it's a fairly small elevator, but it gets you there.
Just in case you need it, there is a companion restroom just beside the elevator on the bottom floor. You need to ask the host/hostess for the key to use it.
Once you get upstairs, the floor has several different levels. The elevator takes you to the main level. The other levels (including the area right next to the windows) are one or two steps down. It's a great place and very impressive.

Just a quick question, we are going next Oct 2002. Is there any time that is particularly quiet at Cindy's. I have a feeling it is the most popular of the charector meals and figure as soon as I have made a room resy I will need to book a few things for b/l/d. But my PDD son has some SI issues and may freak if it is too noisy or he'll literally shut down. I don't want to push him but have always wanted to eat there and see those particular charectors. My girl will be about 1 1/2 and of course want some princess pictures for her. Maybe I should just take her? Any advice would be great. Thanks!

We haven't been there for breakfast, only for lunch. At that time, it was just "normal restaurant" noisy. At lunch, they did have Cinderella and the Fairy Godmother to meet downstairs before you went up to eat. So that was pretty nice.
I have the feeling that it is busy for most of the breakfast time, since it seems to be one of those PS that fills up all the time. My suggestion would be to try for the latest time in the breakfast period. That way, people would be leaving during the time you are there and no more would be arriving to take their place. I know a lot of people want the earliest time they can get so they can start their touring of MK quickly after it opens.

Great idea. I've noticed that too people wanting the earliest time to get touring going. With two kids coming with us we just want to see what we can, we know we won't be able to fit it all in. Disney is so big now. My son has been having lunch at the cafeteria in school once or twice a week to try and used to being in a noisy type atmosphere (or at least try to handle it). He is in a full day program with typical peers in the morning and then the 4 "PDD" kids have 2 hours more of school and thats when they go to eat with the teacher and aides. It has really helped which is why I think we'll try cindy's and a couple more charectors meals that way we won't feel a need to try and get a picture in the parks with the charectors. I just love the disabilities board, it's like a good support group meeting.
