My DW just booked Cindy's breakfast for our trip in July. Am I right, $180 for a family of 5 (1 under 10). Granted the last time we had breakfast with Cindy my 9 yr old was 1, but man I do not remember the cost being so high. Does my memory fail me, or have they jacked up the price?

(Not so much complaining, cause we love the mouse, but I am somewhat suprised.)

Current prices are:

Adults $31.99

Children 3-9 $21.99

plus tax.

$158 ish before tip for 4 adults and 1 child.

The Disney Dining Experience card would save you about 30 bucks. Definately worth it if you eat TS meals or in a value resort alot.

I believe the price increase came about around Feb 2006 - so lots of us are having a hard time thinking about $31 for BREAKFAST!!

The under 12 get a wand or a sword (um, I'm a kid at disney and paid more than my dd - can I please have a wand??? lol) and you get a picture package, good, or bad pic, you pay for that - so if you subtract those costs, it works out to be mildly expensive!!

A package with four 4x6 prints and one 6x8 print of your photo, as well as ne 6x8 print of Cinderella Castle,in a Cinderella photo holder (valued at $29.95 plus tax) will be delivered to you during your meal, which will be from a fixed-price, set menu.(One photo package per party of 1-4;two photo packages for parties of 5-8, etc.)

per alleasnet.com > http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menu_crb.htm

(what we'll do with FOUR 4x6 of the same pic is beyond me... we're a lonely only family)

We just went in Jan 2006 and there was no wand or sword. Just the expensive picture. :-)

We were also there in January, but I think the new prices went into effect beginning of February. They did have the pictures for a price, but now I think they are included. :confused3

I will have to think long and hard before paying that much for eggs and bacon!!

Make the kids their own Disney photo albums. When they are older and have kids of their own they can show them pics of when they ate in the castle for only $22 a kid (LOL) imagine the prices by then. I have photo albums for each of my girls and their favorite pictures are from riding Cinderella's Golden Carrousel. The pics begin when they are toddlers up to their teen years.

And what I find most remarkable is that it is still difficult to get a reservation for breakfast. :confused3 I had thought, early on, that they raised the price too much but evidently I was mistaken. :confused3

Me too. I thought they priced most people out of the restaurant. However, I have been reading that people are having a hard time getting a reservation. Oh well, it looks like we won't be back to the castle. Unless they switch the dinner to non-fixed price, non character again.

I don't believe it's valid at Cindy's for breakfast.

Maybe the wand or sword is for dinner only?? :confused3 I havent been, and its not listed at allearsnet.com....

There is conflicting reports on whether CRT takes the DDE card... as of Feb 3 its on the DDE list(as being accepted at CRT) ... to get the DDE newsletter now with updates you have to ask for it electronically I believe... but as we know things change often!!

We just got our CRT ressie for July and I was told that the price already included the tip.

I don't want to pay 10+ more per person to get a photo of us and fairy godmother (no offense to her, of course). Couldn't they leave one of the meals with the princesses alone? If I can use our DDE I may still do it, but then again, there's always Epcot and the Cindy dinner to choose from. Does anyone know for sure if you can use DDE on Bfast or lunch? I think they should make the photos optional for extra $, like they do at CM. Why force you to buy these? Maybe they'll change it back before we go in Sept.... One could only hope....

No- everything is "new" as of 2/1. The wand and sword are available for paying children for lunch and breakfast - at Dinner the kids get a limited edition litho (whopee@@ lol) The menu is also limited now.

And to the other poster - the picture is not with the FG it is with Cinderella :)

Anne

I just got my card in the mail yesterday and CRT is listed as one of the places that it's accepted. Hoping it will save me $20 next month!

I was able to book CRT breakfast two days ago for our upcoming trip in May and the CM told me the DDE was not valid for this. However, I ordered my DDE card yesterday and the DDE CM told me that you pay in full when you book and bring the DDE with you to the breakfast and they will subtract 20% from the food portion of the bill. She said they do this b/c the 20% is only valid off of the food, not not picture portion of the breakfast package.

So, do I have this right, you get (4) 4x6 pictures and (1) 6x8 picture which is included in the package (no additional charge)?

I believe that's what you've got at Akershus.
