Cinderella's Royal Table -

I am thinking of surprising my DH with dinner here. However, I really don't know anything about it. Anyone that has eaten there could you give an opinion and review of your lunch or dinner. Thank you in advance.

We ate there in December for dinner and we were seated right away. Once we went up the stairs into the main restaurant area, there was Cinderella which was a wonderful surprise. :goodvibes We were seated right next to the window overlooking Fantasyland. Our server was so friendly and very attentive. My mom and I had the ceasar salad which was very good. It was a parmesan crisp on top of it which was so good. The bread was very delicious too, especially the butter. YUM! :flower: :flower: My mom and I split the filet of beef and we chose the vegetables. It was so good! My dad had the prime rib and mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were so tasty. He loved it. For dessert, I had Walt's Apple Bread Custard with maple walnut ice cream and caramel drizzled on top. It was a bread pudding and it's now my favorite dessert in WDW. My mom had the chocolate cake which came with raspberry and caramel sauce. It was very rich but my mom loved it. While eating our meal, Captain Hook and Peter Pan were chasing each other outside the windows which was a lot of fun to watch. When we were done and went downstairs to the lobby, we saw Mary Poppins. :)

We ate there two years ago and had a late dinner. In fact, we got to watch the fireworks while we were eating (not the best view by any means but it was fun). The mashed potatoes, salads, filet and prime rib were all delicious. Last year we had lunch but it wasn't quite as much fun. Setting was beautiful but the food was not as good - maybe we just ordered the wrong thing. It is just more fun in the evening to us. You can see the complete menu at www.allearsnet.com/din/dining.htm.

Starting 6/10, lunch will be a character lunch so you will need to call 90 days out to make PS with a credit card, which they will charge $10 pp ahead of time just like they do for the breakfast. I know because we have PS for lunch for 6/12.

Just an fyi in case you decide to do the lunch.

We had a difficult time getting a PS for the Character Breakfast for the castle, we finally did get though and made a character lunch for the first day they are offering it. Not a big deal, but kind of fun to be doing something new the first day it is available

I tried to make a PS for lunch for early July and was told they are no longer serving lunch. Any ideas if this is true?

Are they still going to serve dinner. Is it a Character dinner? I hope they just serve a nice dinner. I have heard they do special things for anniversarys and honeymooners. Has anyone heard about that?

Hi :wave2: Does anyone have any information?

JFrey4240, I made a PS the other day for lunch at Cindy's on July 17...not sure why you weren't allowed to make one, but I'd give it another shot if I were you.

Angel16, as far as I understand, characters are only at breakfast and lunch. Dinner will remain the same as always and will still be served.

DH and I had dinner in the castle for our anniversary a few years ago. It is just a nice dinner, no characters, although Cinderella was sitting downstairs in the lobby on the throne. :) There were no characters in the restaurant itself during dinner, though.

I had the filet mignon and it was SOOO good, it melted in my mouth. They decorated our table with streamers and Mickey-shaped confetti and at the end the of the meal they presented DH and I with a pair of champagne glasses with "Cinderella's Royal Table" written on them. They wrapped them in tissue paper and put them in a box for us. We got them home without them breaking! :)

We are going to have dinner there again this July, for our anniversary. :)

P.S. Be sure to let them know when you make the PS that you'll be celebrating your honeymoon or anniversary, and then remind your server when you get there. I would say something like "We're really excited to be dining inside the castle for our anniversary" :)
