Yes just tell your server that you decided to pay out of pocket and not use the dining plan.

i booked our crt using a cr c because we did not yet have out dinning plan. my cc has already been charged and i have already paid. they said they will credit me back on my cc or with money when we arrive for the meal.

in the past they did not bill my cc until the date. i guess they changed that because of no-shows who took a table from someone else.
