I currently have a breakfast ADR at CRT, and am considering canceling it. I need some support from my fellow DISers.
Here are the facts:
My DS's are 14 and 16 and could care less about eating here. My husband thinks it is way too costly for a breakfast. BUT.............I have been trying to get an ADR here for many years. But I am also thinking $198 for breakfast :scared1: is insane. Especially since I am the ONLY on who wants to go.
So............what is your opinion? I would really like to hear everyone's thoughts!

I made ADRs there for our upcoming trip as well. I got soooo much grief from DH and DS9 that I cancelled. I really wanted to go, but it wasn't worth listening to the whining (and that was just from DH-LOL!). My compromise was breakfast at Akerhaus. Oddly enough, no whining...

Honestly, if I didn't have a DD that I wanted to experience it, I wouldn't really care about eating in the castle. I know many say that you have to do it just once, but I'm really only doing it to celebrate my DD's 4th birthday. I am really excited to try it, but only because I have a young DD.

I'm 38 and really enjoyed it. We went for the young kids in our party but ended up liking it just as much as the kids. I say if you can afford it, and it's been a dream of yours, go and see what all the buzz is about. And, I think your daughters will get into it-hard to imagine anyone not enjoying it!

We were there in June and as we were entering, for our 9:10am ADR, a woman and her family were leaving. As she left she was complaining that she never felt so rushed as she did at CRT. She timed it and from the time they sat until the time they stood to walk out, it was 30 minutes. She had an 8:10 ADR. I will say, with our 9:10, we felt anything but rushed. The server came over twice to refill drinks, give more bacon and such. It was a wonderful experience.

My DH was the biggest whiner as well! :lmao: Maybe you and I should go together!

Funny! I actually looked at your ticker to see when you would NOT be going to CRT with me!! HAHA!!

I know I would enjoy it, but I am afraid my son's and DH will not be impressed. I wish I had a daughter to take with me. :rolleyes1
Do you think you would have liked it if you went by yourself? Just wondering, that may be an option for me?

have you thought about going by yourself? i think in your situation, if you areally really want to eat inside the castle, i would consider that option.

otherwise, you could go to akshurs in epcot...it is a VERY similiar experience and much more affordable...

LOL I checked your ticker too!
Maybe you can move your vacation back a week and come with me? :lmao: I'll even pay for your breakfast. :rotfl2:

My DH could care less, but I was able to convince my 15 yo DD to go with me. We even got the center window overlooking fantasy land ! Best seat in the house, which we would not have gotten if DH had gone as it was a 2 seater table I would put a TR on here and see if any one here wants to go with you and ditch the family ! That's what I would do anyway. Of course, I am the one that waits in line for character photos everywhere too !!:rotfl:

When is your ADR ? I will be there the end of this month and I would join you !

We have reservations to eat here for the first time in November. DD16 and DD20 have never ate there and I have tried many times in all of our trips. Wasn't sure if they would want to since they are older now. They want to thank goodness. I think I have to agree its an experience worth having and even though the girls aren't little anymore they can say they did it. My DH had no opinion one way or the other. If we want to do it he will do it. I say if you want to do it keep it and GO FOR IT! The DD's may even thank you for it later.

Maybe just you and your husband could eat breakfast there if you feel comfortable letting your sons do something on their own while you are doing it. My best friend and I have done lunch and dinner there and we are middle-aged women. It adds special magic to your MK day.

I'm sorry, I thought you had DD's. I agree with whomever suggested you go with DH and let the boys stay in the room or go collect some FPs.

Personally, I would like to know how you are getting into Club 33?!?!?!

If YOU want to go, then go! I think everyone should do it atleast once! :) Yes, it is WAY over priced and you probably will be rushed, but it is Cinderella's Royal Table!!!

We enjoy eating here more for the experience of being in the castle, as for the food and Princess interaction, we much more prefer Akershus. However, we do have dinner ADRs for our upcoming trip right before our MNSSHP. And the only reason we have that is because we are trying out DDP and had upgraded to DxDDP, and it was a good use of our credits.

It's your vacation too, right? You should be able to do at least one thing that you've always wanted to do!!

Good point! Although I already splurged and made our reservation at BLT Mk view so I could stare at the castle the whole time. DH and DS's all wanted to have LV. But I am the Princess of our house. LOL :rolleyes1

Wow! Lucky you! The center window sounds wonderful! I would love that! :cloud9:

Wish we were going the same time! I would totally take you up on that offer. :thumbsup2 We will be there the week of Thanksgiving. My ADR is the day after Thanksgiving.

I say if you want to do it keep it and GO FOR IT! The DD's may even thank you for it later.

I have DS's and they are not really into the characters anymore.

That is a GREAT idea. I am sure the boys would like some alone time. :thumbsup2

No worries! I always wanted a DD. But I LOVE my boys!

My friend's husband is an executive with a company that has a cooperate membership. I went 10 years ago and it was spectacular. I hope it is as good as last time. My mom and dad are coming as well! I can not wait. It is an incredible experience! :cheer2: I feel bad that I am leaving DH and DS's at home, but they have school and work that day. :guilty:
