We have booked a meal here on the evening of our wedding for us and our family. My sister in law however does not eat anything on the menu. How easy would it be to get a jacket potato or a plate of chips for her?

Since the meal is prix fixe, your sister-in-law will be charged $39.99 regardless of what she eats. Generally, they'll be glad to offer whatever they have available in the kitchen, but that might not include baked potato or french fries, as neither is no the menu.

And by chips, you mean french fries, right?? and jacket potato, would be baked potato???? Just so there is no confusion and people think potato chips.. ;) and do not know what a jacket potato is. As Bicker says, it is a fixed price for the meal, I would hate to see her pay that for just fries or a baked potato.

I would think they would try to accommodate you but maybe you could call the restaurant and ask?? If not, before you get there, maybe do it when you get there by just having guest services at your resort call. Hopefully, for that kind of money, they might have something that she would like to eat. If not, and you want a happy wedding dinner, I would suggest another restaurant.

Thats what I meant :goodvibes We are paying for the meal and we dont mind paying extortionate prices for potato products and dessert as long as she is fed and happy. After all, we picked the restaurant because it was what our DDs and us wanted (slightly selfish I know)
My SiL did suggest 3 desserts instead!! :rotfl:

So what does she eat?
Not a great variety. She is a veggie and is also very particular about how food is cooked (near meat is a big no no). It wont help that we will all be tucking in to big meaty meals.

I have a friend who is the same wont eat meat or anything cooked in the same thing as meat, no french fries that have been fried in the same place as meat. I think you better call CRT if you are willing to pay the full price and notify them of what you are wanting. That way you can find out if they have what you are looking for since another poster said these are things not offered on the menu, and if she is a strict vegetarian then this is something I was told by disney dining you need to call in advance to notify them of. I was told they can make a vegetarian dish. :bride: :groom:

WDW is very good about preparing special meals for vegetarians, maybe you could call CRT and see what they could do for your SIL.

1) Call 407-WDW-DINE and ask for CRT Chef.
2) They will transfer you to the chef's answering machine.
3) Eventually the chef will call you - usually 24-36 hrs in advance at resort. *
4) You can coordinate menus.
5) And, yes, they can do true vegan, not just vegetarian.

* They don't call earlier because too many schedules change and they'd be on the phone all the time with schedules that are not firm. Go to the concierge desk at your resort and they can help you call the chef.
