Cinderella's Royal Table...

I just called the 1-800 to book character meals and with Cinderella's Royal table, you have to pay in advance now?

What if you change your meal perference. Never ever heard of paying a meal before. When did this come into play?

Also does anyone have a perference for Cinderella's Royal table over Epcot's Princess's Fairy tale? Difference?

Changes to Cinderella's Royal Table Dining
Beginning February 1, 2006, Cinderella’s Royal Table at the Magic Kingdom Park will implement changes to their dining offerings.

Breakfast and lunch will continue to offer a Princess dining experience from a set menu. Dinner will also become a fixed-price meal from a set menu. Upon arrival, Guests will experience a photo opportunity in the castle lobby. They will then proceed to the dining room where Disney princesses or Fairy Godmother will mingle among the tables and greet Guests.

A beautiful Imaging package of their photo will be delivered to Guests at their table. The Imaging package includes four - 4x6 prints, one - 6x8 print, and one - 6x8 print of Cinderella's Castle - all in a Cinderella themed photo holder. In addition, dinner Guests will also receive an exclusive lithograph.

The new pricing for these experiences is as follows:

Breakfast
Guests ages 10 and up $31.99 plus tax
Guests ages 3 to 9 $21.99 plus tax

Lunch
Guests ages 10 and up $33.99 plus tax
Guests ages 3 to 9 $22.99 plus tax

Dinner
Guests ages 10 and up $39.99 plus tax
Guests ages 3 to 9 $24.99 plus tax

Full payment will be required at the time of booking for all meal reservations on or after February 1, 2006.



I've never ate at CRT, but I very much enjoyed Akershus in Norway (the Princess Storybook Breakfast).

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at CRT Friday, May 5 of this year. I didn't even book my trip until March - about 6 weeks out. If you have the Dining Plan you will not be charged on your credit card. You must only provide the credit card information upon booking, and they will charge your credit card if you do not show up.
And I can tell you they held our reservation for a bit becuase we were 15 minutes late & had no problems at all.

We got our family photo with Cinderella in the lobby, with plenty of time for DD to have her book signed, and for me to take separate photos of that exchange. Our photo package was delivered during our meal, along with our lithograph, in a tube for packing to take home. This meal was to celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary, and after our DD's visit to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.
We enjoyed lunch at Akershus the next day. The castle is magical for us b/c we were also there on our honeymoon, on my birthday. Akershus was a wonderful meal & great atmosphere, just different. Of course I am Scandanavian descent & love the food.

It is becoming a tradition for us to eat in the castle though - I am partial to the castle itself, though, not necessarily the meal.

Thank you for your quick replies! There must have been alot of no shows for the castle dining. We ate there Jan. 8th, 06. We went to the castle and ask if it were possible to have a picture taken with Cinderella. We were told yes and come back at noon. We did and were invited to have lunch. My little boy was thrilled! He thought there was alot of dixie dust flying that day!

The food was good. The fairy Godmother was so very wonderful. Our pictures turned out beautiful and the pictures they did were so nice. I don't use credit cards. Use cash or debit only. Guess that is a bummer for us!
