Last time at Disney I took the DD to BBB and we got a peek at Cinderella's Royal Table... I didnt make reservations, but did feel bad that I didnt take her. Now this time around we will be back at BBB and was thinking about Lunch or maybe Dinner at CRD... Has anyone ever been? Did anyone really enjoy the food, atmosphere etc... I have the DH, DD, and DS with Autism. He wont be bad, the best think i see on the menu is PIZZA AND CHICKEN which I know he will love...

It's a neat experience to eat in the castle, but ...

The food is ok - nothing memorable either good or bad

It's very crowded - you're packed in so tight that character table visits are fast and uncomfortable

Overall, it's expensive for what you get (DDP credits or OOP) I'm glad we did it once, but wouldn't even consider doing it a second time.

In comparison the Akershus experience was much better - still just ok food, but not so packed in - characters spent much more time at our table and we could get pictures without putting our backs into other people's tables.

I took my Daughter to CRT in Dec. and it was o.k. It felt rushed and a little awkward. Food was also just o.k. I am glad we went because I have always wanted to eat there but I don't think I would eat there again

Our last trip we did CRT only because I have 2 little girls and figured I had to do it at some point so I might as well just do it to say that I did. We got an early breakfast and woke up that morning cursing myself for making that reservation for this over priced breakfast. So we went through with it and I was VERY pleasantly surprised. Breakfast was good. Its not a buffet but you still can have all you can eat. Just being in the castle is a treat in itself nevermind seeing the princesses. You get a picture with Cinderella and my daughters each got a magic wand. Is it overpriced? Absolutely. but would I recommend it anyway? yes. I'm debating if I want to do it again this year because it was great, but the price is a tough pill to swallow. But I do think its something you have to try at least once.

my bf took me to dinner there on our last night in WDW and I loved it. it was really pretty. the food was yummy and i loved feeling like a princess :)

We enjoyed Cinderella's Royal Table for lunch in September. Very good food and service, and characters were very good too.

Didn't go on an earlier trip because I thought it was a "girl" thing. But DS6, DW, and DH (me) had fun. DS enjoyed just being inside the castle and we thought the food was very good quality. I could have had just as good food at Liberty Tree Tavern but the extra cost of CRT (or extra dining credit) is paying for the character experience.

Food - I forget exactly what we had but I had something akin to pot roast that was very tender and tasty. Our server kept bringing out more Florida strawberries and some to go. DS doesn't eat dessert much but loves the sweet strawberries in Disney World.

Characters - we saw Cinderella downstairs in the castle. The photo background was kind of dark... but still good. We met Aurora, Belle (in blue costume, not fancy yellow dress), Ariel, and Snow White. I understand these characters can vary some. A nice way to meet characters without the lines!

But for photos, we prefer the regular character meets in the parks where you don't have to creatively take pictures to block out tables, diners, dirty dishes, etc. At the Halloween and Christmas parties, the princesses are often or usually with their princes too.

If you really just want Cinderella, we like 1900 Park Fare dinner... where you meet Prince Charming too... but also our not so royal favorites - Lady Tremaine, Anastasia, and Drizella.

Me, my DH, & my DD7 went for lunch this past Dec. All the characters felt rushed, they didn't even ask my daughter any questions & didn't give her a chance to ask them any. They bascially signed her book, said hello, got a pic, and left. We were boxed in by tables so every pics had someone eating in the background. The food was just ok, totally not worth the price.

We met some of the princesses in the parks & that interaction was so much better. They asked questions & took their time with my DD.

Now, my DD LOVED it!! She said it was her favorite meal simply because she got to eat in the castle. She only reguested 2 things for our trip-to eat in the castle & see Rapunzel. She loved the pic with Cinderella & the wand she received. She liked her food & the princesses visiting our table & never complained that they left so quickly. I guess that was all me!! So based on my DD's review, I really think it's a must at least once for anyone who has girls. I think doing BBB & then Cinderella's table would make any little girl feel like a true princess & that is really priceless.

We ate in the castle on our 2nd trip to WDW. My daughter was 4 1/2 , my son 14 1/2. For the price/2 TS it took, we weren't thrilled, but the breakfast was good although the place was slightly crowded.

I thought my daughter would have loved it, but I think she could have lived without it! Its nice to do it at least once, and the one time we did it will probably be our only time. It's a great experience, but IMO, not worth the money.

We went on our first trip and took our boys and were very impressed. The princesses were wonderful and one came back to the table after she had already been there, so that was a pleasant surprise. We thought the food (at lunch) was the best meal we had there and though it felt a little rushed when we sat down (the waiter was right there before we even got situated and took our order and was off and running) but after we got our food, we took our time and had a relaxing meal. They want a high turnover, but they're not going to kick you out for the price you're paying (and we didn't want to linger anyway because the boys wanted to get out to the rides again). It's expensive, but the experience of eating inside the castle and the memories my kids have is well worth it - at least once.

We're going to try Akershus for the first time on our upcoming trip.

Now for the main event: Dinner at CRT January 22

I was a little un-sure about using 2 TS credits for one meal, but since this was DD3 first visit and she is a princess freak I pulled the trigger and made the ADR. (and not so secretly I have always wanted to eat in the castle) We checked in and were taken to meet Cinderella, this girl was stunning. My husband and I were stunned by how pretty this particular princess was. We did our little photo session and waited about 3 mins before we were called upstairs. The dining room is beautiful, it's a round room with high ceiling and banners and flags. And the front of the room is all windows over-looking Fantasyland. Well guess who got seated in front of the window!! YUP!! We did. Pixie Dust!! Our waiter came right over took drink orders and came back with drinks and wands for our DD's. We were served a bread basket after we ordered, just your basic dinner rolls. For the apps DH went with the trio of cheese--it was goat cheese, brie and gouda, he said it was delicous, DD ordered a garden salad and I went with the Shrimp Cocktail- now this was good--its in a mini maritini glass with corn and shrimp and a horseradish style vinagrette over it. I finished every bite. For our entrees DH ordered the Pork 3 ways--not so great. It was dry and the spoon bread was more like polenta. Not like a send it back awful dish, but not the best. DD and I both ordered the Beef Tenderloin--FANTASTIC! It was served over mashed potatoes with grilled asparagus and a mushroom burgundy reduction. I cannot say enough about how good this was. For dessert DH ordered the almond cheesecake, this was very good. The raspberry sauce made the dish. DD ordered the chocolate mousse and thought it was too rich. I ordered the trio which was a mousse, apple tart and cheesecake..All yummy. We had also special ordered the chocolate slipper desserts for our DD's. They were so good. Dark Chocolate Slipper filled with Chocolate Mousse. over a angel food cake pillow and surrounded with fresh fruit. And personalized for whatever you like. The meal was fantastic. The Princesses were all sweet and not rushed, Snow White, Belle, Aurora & Ariel were there. The best part of the entire evening for me was we were able to stay in our seat and watch wishes out the castle windows over Fantasyland. This entire experience was covered in Pixie Dust!! I would highly recommend CRT, it is worth every bit of 2 TS credits.

We had lunch at CRT and the food was great! The inside of the castle is very authentic! It really looks like a real castle. Others mentioned it was crowded or they felt rushed. We did not experience that at all. We had a table just for 2. And the service was impeccable! (As it should be based on the price!)

I would also recommend The Storybook dining at Akershus in Epcot in the Norway section. It is also inside of a small castle. It is not as grand on the outside, but the inside is quite cool and does look like a castle.

No. Subpar food, totally overrated. The only time we knew we were in the castle was walking in. You can find much better food and Princess interaction at Akershaus.

The food is mediocre and it's over-priced.

That said, if you haven't been before I would suggest doing it, if for no other reason than your daughter (and maybe even your son) will be excited to eat in the castle. That is a really cool thing for kids, so I don't regret doing it.

Eating in the castle was enjoyable but not something I'll repeat. For less money or just 1 dining credit, we very much enjoy the food at Liberty Tree Tavern and Crystal Palace. Actually... with all the variety of delicious food at Crystal Palace... I could eat all my meals there!

I would encourage everyone to go at least once & then decide for yourself if it's worth another go. We went to CRT for our first breakfast when DD was 5 years old. The castle was nice & the picture with Cinderella was good. The food was good & DD loved the bacon. We had great character interaction, especially with Ariel & Belle. It was nice to get there early & get out to the rides before MK got packed. I don't know that we'll go back, unless DD really wants to & DH is okay with it.

It should be done at least once with every little girl IMO however do not except exceptionnal food. The food was good but not great, the princesses were rushed compare to Akershus and the price is high for what you get but eating at the castle is princeless for any little girl and I would recommend it at least once. We've done both lunch and dinner and didn;t prefer one over the other. Also in the fixe price, it includes a picture with Cinderella, a wand for little girls and a sword for little boys and a wishing star for every kid.
