I called to ask some questions about booking CRT the other day. Our window does not open up until the 27th but I was just asking general questions aout how you make a reservation with a credit card, etc. since we have not been there before.

While I was on the phone I said that we would be a party of 8, and the CM told me that it was a rarity that we could get a reservation for 8 people and would likely have to split up 4 and 4, and that those reservations could not be linked so that we would be seated next to each other.

Has anyone found this to be the case? We have 2 familes going together so sitting at different tables would be possible, but obviously not perferable. What the CM on the phone told me just did not make much sense, but I want to know before we try and make the reservations. (we are trying to make them for the Monday after Thanksgiving week for lunch).

I don't know why the CM told you that - unfortunately the CM's don't all get fed the same information so you may call today or tomorrow and get a completely different answer. They "can not guarantee" that you will all sit together but I have seen groups of 8 at breakfast, lunch and dinner at CRT. Be aware though that most reservation restaurants will not guarantee that you will all sit together - it's not just CRT, but as always the hostess will do the best they can.:goodvibes

have seen groups of eight. They were sat at separate tables that were right next to one another so technically they might have been seated separately but they were close enough that having a discussion was no problem.

I went there with a group of 6 and had no problem, but I've seen larger parties seated together with tables pushed together.

We booked as a group of eight with no problems, the CM booking didn't say anything about two reservations :confused3

I think you got a cm on an off day :rolleyes1

A few years back we went there with a party of eight. We were told when we made the ressies that we might be at separate tables, but we were all seated together.

My guess is they try to seat larger parties together, but may not be able to at all times, and therefore the cast members are supposed to tell you your party may not be seated together.

We've booked as a party of 11 many times in the past. However, with the new online system, I am reading that people have not been able to book online parties of more than 6 with success online for CRT. I don't understand why- but I've read on many threads that people aren't able to get the ressies and end up making 2 or 3 separate ressies for smaller parties at the same time. That's what we were planning to do for our upcoming Dec trip, but now they've changed it to where you can't make more than one ressie at the time Guess we'll have to have 3 different people on the computers logged in to different accounts and on the phone with each other to try to get ressies at the same time. It is just frustrating. The online system opens an hour before the phone system, and since we are going Christmas week (can you say crowds?!), I'm scared to wait until the phone lines open. Please post your experience on here after you book~ I hope you have success!!

The CRT we want to book will be for the week after Thanksgiving-a Monday at lunch so hopefully the crowds will have died down. I don't think we will have too much trouble getting a seating for the 4 of us, but we do want to be together. Does not seem to make much sense to me but we shall see!
