I understand that when you make a reservation for CRT and you are not on the dining plan you have to pay for it in full in advance. I am wondering how the restaurant knows who paid already and who booked the reservation with a dining plan. Will the confirmation # also work as a receipt? Do you get a receipt at the end of the meal?

All that information is in the computer. They confirm at check-in if you are on the dining plan. I have booked the restaurant 3 ways:
1. I have gotten the DDP and then booked. At check-in it was confirmed and after the meal I got a receipt with the DDP credits deducted.
2. I have had times where I purchased the dining plan after making the reservation. I tell them at check-in and after the meal they use my credits and reimburse my cc.
3. Last year we did TiW. After the meal they adjusted my receipt to reflect the discount and credited my cc for the difference.

Your confirmation number will bring up whether you have paid or used a DDP credit. We don't use the DDP but we do have a TiW card. We book and pay in full and then our credit card gets reimbursed the difference when we get there. We have always had to sign the bill after the meal.
