We Are Going To Disney In December. We Usually Eat At Cinderellas Royal Table, But I Have Been Reading Some Not So Good Opinions Lately. Some Say The Menu Has Changed(i Have Not Been To Disney Since Last Christmas) Some Say Not Worth The Upgrade To Two Table Service Meals (i Also Read This Was Because Of A Picture Package?) My Problem Is ....my Daughter Loves Crt. She Has Never Been To Crystal Palace. It Is Not The Princesses That Draw Her There, Just The Castle. My Best Friend Also Likes Eating There, He Enjoys The Setting. However, We Have Never Been To Crystal Palace,( I Think It Is Only One Ts) And My Best Friends Boy Loves Tigger And Pooh And It Is His First Trip To Disney. He Will Be One Next Week. I Need Some Advice From People Who Have Been To Both. If I Made The Switch, Is Crystal Palace Going To Be Fun Enough For My Daughter To Enjoy Or Would It Be A Total Disappointment. I Need To Cut Back On Our Table Service Meals As We Are Only Going To Be At The Parks Four Days And Fitting All Of Our Favorites In Is Quite A Job At Present. Please Help!!!!!!!!!!

I know how your daughter feels, I feel the same way about the castle.
But I think that the Crystal Palace is quite nice too. If your friends son loves
pooh and friends, than it will be very worthwhile for him.
On the other hand I have been to CRT but I have also heard the comments about how it is not as good. Personally I never thought it was that great, I went because it is the castle and to see my dd with the princesses.
I am going again in November for breakfast on her birthday.
But I have noticed in the past that the CP has a beautiful view of the castle from one of their rooms. Maybe you would request a view of the castle and your daughter could enjoy that while dining. I know I enjoyed it.

I've eaten at both and enjoyed both. Not sure how much a 1 yr old would enjoy the castle so I would choose Crystal Palace since it is his first trip. The food is excellent and I think the interaction with Pooh and friends is some of the best!

Thanks Ya'll. I Think I Am Going To Talk To My Daughter Tonight And Tell Her What Ya'll Said. She Wants Ethan(1) To Have A Great Time Because It Is His First!!!! My Children Haved Loved Every Trip To Wdw. Plus If We Get The View Of The Castle, I Think Its Worth A Try.

my husband & i love crt, the theme is great in the castle & the new menu is good, i like the salmon & hubby likes the pot pie. i even had my bridal lunch there in march & everyone loved there meal. we ate at crystal palace back in 2003 & although the restaurant is pretty & winnie the pooh & friends are fun, the food sucked. for kids though seeing winnie the pooh might be worth it but from an adult view pass.

Both of them are great! We tried the CRT lunch and it wasn't nearly as good as the breakfast. The food was not that great and they had pretty random choices. CP is great for any meal the food is some of the best and it's a buffet. The atmosphere is very bright but there's usually lots of people there so it can feel kind of hectic. Basically your tading food for atmosphere if you go for lunch. However, if you want to do CRT go for breakfast it's so much better and beats CP any day!

Of course, without a doubt anyone would most likely love to eat in the castel, especially our little princesses. But, since you have already been there I would highly recommend Crystal Palace!!!! I have been to both and let me tell you, other than the "castle experience" you cannot beat the CP! The food is sooooo much better and way less expensive!!!! The Pooh charecters are great! As long as your daughter understands, then I would personally go for CP 110%! :thumbsup2

I've been to both for breakfast, and prefer CP. I think the foods better there, and there's more variety. Though I have to agree with your DD, it's fun to eat in the castle, even though CP is in a beautiful location as well. I'm not much help, am I? :goodvibes

:tink: We love CP! The food is great and the character intervention is good, too. We've tried all of the breakfast Character meals and CP is our favorite with 1900 Park Fare running a close 2nd.

Cast my vote for the Crystal Palace!

(Oh my...I became a "Mouseketeer" with this post!!!!!
