I'm trying to work out where to make reservations for dinner for my trip in June and I can't decide between these two. The meal would just be my mother and I (both adults). I like the idea of eating inside the castle but neither of us are huge cinderella fans and i just don't know if the atmosphere makes up for the poor reviews I've heard about the food. Thanks for the advice.

if you really, really want to eat in the castle, then go for Cinderella's castle. The food is good (not fabulous, but not as bad as some say...I think a lot of folks expect a far better meal for the $$$, and that's where much of the castle-food-slamming originates. But a lot don't allow for part of the cost being where you're eating. We figure 1/2 the cost of the meal is paying for the castle experience and the photo with Cinderella, then the remaining 1/2 the $$ is about right for the food. It's elegantly presented and formally served by costumed wait staff.)

Now ARtist Point, you're paying for the signature dining experience...less tables, less noise and a greater part of the cost is going to higher quality food and more exotic choices.

You'll have a nicer dining experience at AP. Sure, its not the Castle, but it is still a very nice place. The real feature here is the food, service and overall atmosphere. AP also has a wonderful wine list.

I voted for CRT. We were not disappointed with our dinner at all & loved eating in the castle. Can't go wrong with AP either, though. The castle swayed my vote though. We ate there during Wishes & had a great light show.

The castle was a once in a life time experience for us. But we love the characters and we have kids that do too. Plus, we just wanted to eat inside the castle just to do so. To the extent that you're not as into the princesses or other parts of the experience, I'd tend to temper my suggestion to eat there because what you're paying for there mostly is the experience of eating in the castle and seeing the princesses. Unfortunately, the very things about that venue that make it an experience also impose a limit on the food. It's really not up to signature standards and the food was better at 1900 Park-Faire. It's not that the food was bad. We did indeed like the food. But If it were me and I didn't care about the characters, unless I just wanted to eat inside the castle for the sake of doing so, I'd go to Artist Point.

Hope that helps.

I voted AP. For my family, I would choose CRT. However, based on what you said, I think you'll enjoy the signature dining experience more. Part of the magic :wizard: of the castle is loving Cinderella princess:, that's why we do it, for our 2 girls. :lovestruc 2 great choices, but based on what you said for your group, AP.

ETA: FWIW, we did not think the food was bad but maybe that is because we love Cinderella so being in her castle was very magical to us.

Have you looked at the menu at AP? If you go there, you will be prioritizing the food over the atmosphere, so make sure it strikes your fancy!

Thanks for all the advice. Although it seems like it would be really cool to eat inside the castle I think I'm going to go with artists point.
