I just read an older post where it mentioned that the character interaction at CRT was kind of lame, for lack of a better word, and how Akershus was much better. I have an ADR (breakfast)for CRT and a DD3 who is a princess fanatic and loves character meals and would be disappointed if she didn't get and give lots of princess hugs. We ate at 1900 Park Fare last year and she still talks about how cute Prince Charming is... any advice? Also it's not about the food etc, this is purely taking one for the team so she gets her storybook meal. I was so excited to get a reservation, but now I am not so sure... :confused3

Well I haven't been to Akershus, but I loved CRT. We had breakfast, and contrary to what alot of people posted, we really enjoyed the food. Enough so to go back in a couple of weeks when we were just last there in December. I thought there was plenty of interaction. Each princess and the fairy godmother came by once and spent enough time to talk and take a picture. We were a party of two young adults, so I think they would probably spend more time at a table with kids. I don't think you'll regret it. Plus it is fun just to eat inside the castle! I would do it at least once.

I have to agree with you about CRT. When we were there three weeks ago, it seemed that the visits from the princesses were rushed. I was even a little turned off by the way that Jasmine handled my DD2. But, the look on my DD's face was well worth the price. We LOVED the food and will be going back to CRT in three weeks. That said, we also LOVE the food at the Princess breakfast in Norway. I appreciate the time and attention that the princesses take with my DD and with the rest of the family. It is such a lovely family experience. It is also a place that we go each and every trip. It doesn't matter where you are eating as long as your princess is enjoying it!

I don't mind at all. Jasmine squatted down and pulled my DD over to her and very abruptly sat her on her knee. My DD was trying to look at Jasmine and she held her in place for the picture and then left. The other princesses were SO sweet. Belle even stayed around visiting with us while my DD finished chewing the food she had in her mouth. Don't get me wrong, the thing with Jasmine was nothing that you would complain to someone about. It was just that I didn't think it was very kind. My child is only 2 and was excited to see the princesses up close and personal. It will not stop us from going back.

My girls loved CRT for breakfast - we are trying dinner next time (could not get into breakfast or lunch).
