Cinderella's Royal Table.....HELP US !!!!!!

We have CRT dinner one day, and Akershus Breakfast another day (AND 1900 park fare dinner yet another day. The Princess loving small girl is going to melt from joy!) I am glad to hear they are both worth doing!

When we brought the two little girls I care for we scheduled all the Princess meals, and they were not bored with any overlap. The Princesses are really good at "remembering" the kids, and honestly, I think they really did! Pretty familiar faces for several.

You say you had a "unique perspective" of the fireworks and make it sound pretty cool. How well were you able to see the projections and the fireworks being that close to the castle?

This was our view of Wishes last year.

You will not see the projections at all and your view of the fireworks will be limited to what is visible outside of your window. If you have not seen this new fireworks show, I would advise against having a meal in CRT timed for the show.

LongLiveRafiki was referring to my comment about watching the fireworks from outside of the castle after we were finished with dinner. We were not allowed to leave the concourse/tunnel and front deck area until about 10 minutes after the fireworks were over which interfered with our plans to finish dinner and hit some rides while people were watching the fireworks. But we had this unique view from the front deck so it turned out to be a blessing in disguise that we lost about 30 minutes of ride time. :)

As we were walking up the stairs to go to CRT my one daughter says "I can't believe it.....my wish is coming true". Yep, worth every penny!!! We went during the fireworks so that made it even more magical. The looks on my daughters faces when the fireworks started were priceless. Hubby exclaimed that we had to do this the next time we go back.

Now I will say I'm not so sure it would have been as magical with older kids. My 16 year old son wasn't nearly as impressed. If you've been to Disney 24 times I'm guessing the cost won't break you, I'd do it just to say you've went.

We ate there for lunch, and thought it was WAY over-rated - plus my food came out cold (steak on the salad)

Oh no! I am so sory!

We love CRT. We love it more for the atmosphere, being in the castle, and the Princesses than the food. That said, I would not say it is a must do for your age kids. For a princess crazy 6 and under it is an absolutely magical experience and I would call it a must do if at all possible. DD is 11 now, and has been going to WDW every year since she was 2. I would not give up those CRT experiences at age 3-6 for anything (couldn't get an ADR when she was 2- although I tried every day). My DD was a Princess nut and we did CRT, 1900 Park Fare dinner, and Akershus every trip for quite a while. Akershus was dropped around the time she was 9 as the least favorite. CRT and 1900 Park Fare are still on her list of places she wants to go every trip.

For a WDW newbie with 7-9 year olds that still very much like the Princesses, or even older kids, it could also be a magical must do.

With kids your kids' age that have been to WDW multiple times- while eating in the castle is nice- it isn't going to have the impact it would have on a little kid or a newbie. I would also note that in our opinion the menu options and quality of food has gone down in the last few years. So- if the kids really really want to eat there, I would consider it, but I wouldn't do it just because you have not in the past and feel like you should. It really is the kids reaction and having the Princesses come through that makes it special--- also they give the girls a wand and the boys get swords and the kids also each get a wishing star. It is fun to watch a little kid excited because they actually get to eat inside the castle- fun for an adult newbie- and okay I'll admit for me-- to be in there too. For someone that has been to WDW 24 times and has probably experienced all kinds of WDW magic over the years- it may not be that big of a deal.

Thank you! That was exactly what I was looking for! I think we will be done at CRT shortly before the fireworks and was trying to figure out if we would be able to see anything from where we are allowed out at or if we should just stretch out our dinner and watch from inside the castle. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get an earlier ADR. So if the timing does work right with how long I figure the meal will be, I think it would be a better experience to view them from right out front (rather than inside) if we get that opportunity. It really does seem like a magical view.

As @bluezy noted, I was referring to the view from just out front of the castle. I do appreciate the insight about the view from inside the castle too though since we will probably be finishing our meal a few mins before the fireworks start. So our options MAY be to see if we can be let out and watch from that spot outside the castle or stretch out our meal and watch from inside. It seems like the outside view would be better for a first time viewing.
