I'm planning our upcoming trip for late this summer, and was wondering if its possible to combine a castle dinner seating along with the fireworks or parade schedule...

1a. Do they have meal seatings at that time of night ?
1b. What would be the best dinner time to reserve?

2. Are there any other tricks to this, like Do you need to request a table near a window, facing a certaing diretion, etc ? Or are all the seats just assigned randomly, so it becomes hit or miss?

You can see some of the fireworks from within the castle. I don't think they'll let you request a window table, but you can always ask. When we were there, a number of tables opened up before fireworks and they weren't being reseated, so by the time the show started we were able to move closer to the window to see the show.

If I remember correctly, there aren't any tables angled the wrong way. There are only one set of windows, so as long as you can see the windows you'll probably be okay.

The meal can move pretty quickly, so I would aim for an ADR about an hour or so before the fireworks start.
