I read about someone who booked a table at Cinderella's Royal Table and they were able to view the fireworks from there. Is the case?
Would anyone who is dining there at the time be able to view them? I am trying to decide on whether to book for dinner there, or do the Fireworks viewing and dessert package....

You might be able to see a few here and there but CRT is the last place to be to see fireworks. The castle is really center stage for the fireworks and for the best viewing you want to be in front of it. You can see all the fireworks from behind in fantasyland but it is a different experience than being out in front.

would be the only ones with a view. To further complicate things the windows are supposed to be covered in the near future to block the view of the construction for the Fantasyland expansion.

Book the dessert party with WISHES viewing. It is an amazing view of the fireworks and you cant beat a buffet of nothing but desserts. Right now they are accepting ADRs for this thru March

I largely agree with the PPs that inside of CRT is not an ideal spot to watch the fireworks, because you will miss out on the castle effects and some of the fireworks themselves. That being said, seeing the fireworks from inside of CRT was a lot of fun and brought back memories of visits long ago when most of the show could be seen from inside (20+ years ago). I would recommend doing this if you've already seen the show and would like to see it from a very different perspective. However, if the PPs were right and the back windows will be covered up during the Fantasyland expansion, then the fireworks won't be visible.

The tables by the windows have the best view, while those in the back or off to the side have a limited view. My guess is that most of the main floor has some view, while those on the raised side areas are more restricted.

Here are a few photos of the fireworks from inside CRT. We were at a railing table on the second level to the right when you enter the restaurant.

Hi OP! Sounds like it's settled, based on the information provided. But I'll add the following from the Disney website, in case it's relevant to anyone else's plans:

Reservations from Jan 11 - June 30, 2011: Due to a refurbishment of portions of the back side of Cinderella Castle taking place, elements of the restaurant will be refurbished and there will be themed window coverings that will not detract from your experience, but will block the view into Fantasyland.

I wonder if anyone has pictures of the window coverings? Would like to see what they look like.

I also wonder that - I wonder if you can still see the stained glass on the windows?

I'm quite intrigued about the window coverings. We were lucky enough to get the two seater table right in the centre of the windows last year and we had a fantastic view of the fireworks. We didn't mind so much missing out on the whole show because we watched it from numerous places later on in the trip. One thing I am not keen on however is the sound of these window blocks, anymore info on these?

1) They are completely opaque.
2) You cannot see out of them.
3) Hey are meant to cover any views of Fantasyland construction.
4) Thus, no fireworks can be seen.

.

Thanks for that. Sucks really and takes away from the magic of MK IMO :(

The window coverings are rather heavy and made it (even when sitting against them) seem like we were eating dinner at night instead of breakfast in the broad daylight. I would ask for a table away from them if anyone is looking at an ADR....

I am thinking nearer the time I might ring and ask if they are still up and request a seat away from the window if that's the case. Although thinking about it, if you are dining at night I don't see why they still have to be up because its pitch black and you can't see much apart from the carousel (as I am assuming the work site will be pitch black) and also its a bit bad that you won't be able to let diners see the fireworks too.
