I have been trying to understand the service style at CRT (family style, buffet, etc.) I now understand that it is prix fix menu. My question is what do they do with a 2 year old? Do you have to pay OOP if on the DDP for them or are they free like at table service and buffet restraunts? :confused3

Thanks to anyone that can help.

It's been a while, so my info might be useless ... but when my 7 year old was 2, we had breakfast at CRT and were not charged. They brought her out a beverage and a little plate of something (don't remember what it was - maybe a couple of french toast sticks?), but they also brought out a dish of fresh fruit and a basket of breakfast pastries to be shared amongst the entire table ... we gave her some of that and some eggs from one of our plates and she was fine.

Just went with my 2 year old this past August. As previous poster said you don't pay for the 2 year old and they bring them a little plate of french toast sticks and a drink. They also bring out fruit and pastries for the whole table so there is plenty of food for the 2 year old. Its also all you can eat. They bring you out a plate but if you want another when your finished they will give it to you. So if the 2 year old wants to eat off your plate and you feel you didn't get enough you can get more.

I was just there in January with my 15 month old granddaughter for dinner. We were on the DDP, they brought her out a plate of buttered pasta (ziti) for her dinner and a drink. There was no charge for this. She also had bread and ate from out plates as well.

yep that is what they brought us for under 2 child also.

In addition to the buttered noodles, we also received a plate of assorted cheese and fruit. It seemed to be whatever the server felt like doing. They also receive the sword / wand at that age.

We are having breakfast there in May with an almost 3 year old and I was wondering if she would get the wand as she would be disappointed if not. This is good to know. :thumbsup2

My daughter received the noodles, fruit, drink and an ice cream dessert when she was 2. We also received the wand.

The wand used to be hard clear plastic with a hard blue irridescent star and Cinderella's Royal Table printed on the handle. The last time we went, the wand was different, no printing, and a wire type star.

Can anyone confirm if this was a fluke and possibly they had run out of the other wands or is this a permanent replacement?

I dont know when you went, but in August of 2011 it was still the clear plastic with blue star.

We went twice when our younger one was 2. Our first trip was lunch - and she was given cheese and grapes, a plate of butter noodles (penne rigate), and a build your own cupcake for dessert. On our dinner trip, I think she got a salad, same butter noodles, a build your own sundae. She also received a wand and wishing star on both trips.

As for the wands...on our first visit...both girls received a more basic ribbon wrapped beaded wire star wand with ribbon streamers in pink and white (Dec 2010). On our second trip (aug 2011)- they received the standard CRT labeled Blue and clear plastic wands. I will say that while I like the looks of the official wand, the wand from our first trip held up better and doesn't hurt when the girls bonk each other on the head to grant wishes. :lmao:

My experience at CRT is the same as other posters. My then 2 yr old was served french toast sticks and also given a wand. It was pink ribbon wrapped around a wire star. This was in Nov. 2010. Before that we got the blue plastic one which was more durable.

At other TS restaurants (not buffets) a 2 yr old can eat off your plate. If your order them a meal it will be OOP. At buffets they can have their own plate for no charge.

We've been to CRT twice with my son who was under 3 at the time. For lunch, they gave him a sword and buttered pasta for free. For breakfast, I believe he got french toast sticks and a sword. I believe we got the blue wand in Sep. 2009 and May 2010.
