We have always done Breakfast but this next trip, I'm thinking about dinner. The kids are older now (12 and 16), so the character thing isn't as enchanting as it used to be. Plus, breakfast always felt a little rushed because we wanted to get to the park and ride the rides. But I'm not sure exactly what happens at the dinner. From some other posts, I'm thinking there might be a picture package? And the fairy godmother is somewhere? I do know that the princesses don't come around to the tables. But what else do I need to know?

Thanks!

There is a photo session with Cinderella while you are waiting to be seated. The Fairy Godmother puts on a little dinner show. It's definitely more for older kids. The food is good and you have a better choice at dinner. I would do the dinner instead of lunch, but my DGDs are 4 and 9.

There is a picture package. Cinderella was adorable with my DS6 (at the time) The fairy godmother does a little "show" and the mice helpers (Suzy and Perla) buzz about.

When we went there was no autographs or pictures, but some folk have had better luck. Maybe it depends on how busy it is. The setting as you already know, is wonderful.

Now to be brutally honest. whilst my dinner was nice, DH thought his prime rib was awful. DS didn't really enjoy his, can't remember what he had, but I don't think it was any more complicated than chicken nuggets. I could not drag these men back there if I tried. We also had some terribly impersonal service. Dishes were literally thrown at us, tossed salad took on a whole new meaning. Our server was really awful.

However that was my experience, I might have hit a bad night. I'm obviously really weird, but I did kind of enjoy it (hey, my food was good!!) I would, however, not be going back for dinner. Maybe try breakfast, but as I said, DH would have to be dragged back there.

Hopefully there will be a bunch of folk to prove me wrong!! That's the thing, it's so difficult to ask for an opinion.

We were there for dinner about 1 1/2 years ago for dinner when it first started. We really enjoyed it, found the food yummy, service good, and the break from the chaos of the park welcome (though I must admit we were only there on a day trip). You meet Cinderella downstairs for a photoshoot and then go up for dinner. The Fairy Godmother and Suzy and Perla put on a little show (included my DH the night we were there) which was cute but short - enough to add too not detract from dinner. Our kids were 3 and 6 at the time and they enjoyed it even though they were totally exhausted! Have a magical trip!:thumbsup2

We went for dinner in August. The Fairy Godmother and Suzy and Perla did their little show, pics with the little ones and they also received a wand and a sword for DS and wishing stars. Very cute. The atmosphere is incredible. :wizard: The dinner was fine, I enjoyed the salad and the dessert. The entree wasn't great, but it was OK. Still I think dinner is the best value as far as choice and price for what you get.

IMO, I think you should do it at least once! Oh and we sat right next to the Cinderella Suite Castle winners! :)

I have 5 kiddos. Will my 12 year old also be able to get a wand. I don't want her to feel left out if only her little siblings get one.

thanks :)

I must have gotten the same server as ReggieB when we went to CRT in the Fall. The castle is wonderful to eat dinner in however the server and the food left something to be desired. My DD enjoyed it and she is 12. Our server wanted to have our app/entree/drink and dessert choices at the very beginning of the meal. He also asked us for our key to the world card to charge our meal to our room (as that is how we were paying) before we even ordered our apps. The picture turned out great! I don't think we will be going back on our next trip though.

I can't say for sure, but our server was so nice - she gave DS a new sword after he accidentally broke it - it's worth asking for if she doesn't receive one initially.
But I agree with Tess'smom - we ordered everything upfront - appy, entree, and dessert. But our meal flowed just fine - the timing was perfect. Again, we had an awesome server, and I'm sure that makes a huge difference. ;)

Dh and I ate tehre for dinner on 11/24 and thought the food was great. The pretzel bread was a nice surprise as was the spread. It tasted like it was a spread made with mustard grains. For the appetizer we both had salads. I had the blt one and it was good I do not remember what my Dh salad tasted like. For dinner I had the lamb chops and my Dh had the pork loin. We both enjoyed our meals. for dinner I had the choc. buckle and I dont remember what Dh had. The dessert was good but we were too stuffed to finish it all.

We went to Cinderella's Royal Table for dinner the first time this past trip and loved it. It is so nice. Its a great atmosphere and the Fairy God-Mother comes out and interacts with the crowd and then starts to sing the Bippity Boppity Boo song. It is a very nice place to eat at with your whole family. My sister, my brother, and I (ages in order- 16, 21, 14) all enjoyed it and liked participating in everyhting they had to offer.

For an appetizer I would definately choose the Corn and Crab soup.

It was VERY good!!

Overall I would definately stick to your ADR at CRT.

I have just written a dining review of CRT, definitely go for dinner it was fantastic and worth every penny.

My mom just called me from WDW (she is there from 12/3 to 12/10) and she ate at CRT for dinner last night.

Anyway, she said my dad had the prime rib and it wasn't so good, but she said her meal and the desserts and app's were great. Server was on spot and the character interaction was nice.

She rated it a 4 out of 5. She told me that everything was great but the prime rib.

I will post pictures when they return (she wants me to do a food trip report for her and my dad).

I hope this helps :goodvibes

We had dinner there Oct 5th and we really enjoyed it. Our group consisted of me, my brother his step-daughter and her 2 boys 5 & 7. Service was fantastic and the food was very good.
Our server called the boys and my brother mi'lord and the 2 women my'lady and we just got such a kick out of it.
Perla and Suzy made the rounds and they stayed at the tables long enough for pictures (this was an early dinner though 4:50 so it was not real crowded) and then the Fairy Godmother came in and did her "show" she did not stay long at the tables but we able to get pictures of her standing in the middle of the room.
Each of the boys got a sword and on the way out my brother's step-daughter asked if she could have a wand and the hostess gave her one and some glittery pixie dust stuff.

I highly recommend the dinner. DD8 LOVED it. First, you do the pictures and the interaction with Cinderella was great, she signed autopgrahs, chatted, and gave Keilan 2 big hugs, and, it was a very busy night.

Then, the fairygod mother was great at dinner, such a cute show. DD8 just loved the magic of being in the Castle at night, looking over the park, etc.

We are doing it again next year. We loved our food as well!

We've been to WDW 12 times and have never eaten at Cinderella's Royal Table. I just made dinner ADRs for our June, 2008 trip. I have a few questions too. We will be on the dining plan.

Will appetizers be included even though the DDP doesn't include them?

Are the pictures included in the price of the meal or do you have to purchase them separately?

Thanks

Oh No! I didn't know that the Princesses don't come around to your table at dinner the way they do at breakfast. Dd is going to be dissapointed. :( She loved the Princesses coming to her last time we went for breakfast.

Maybe I should try to get us in for breakfast in Epcot w/ the Princesses too then.
