Has anyone eaten at the castle for dinner with just adults? I know we are children at heart but my kids are grown and I want to try it again, after all, Brandy was Cinderella when my kids went, now she is dancing with the stars!!!!!

have eaten there twice for dinner with adults-only parties (4 adults -- real adults, not Disney adults.) We enjoyed it.

Not sure we'd go now that they have the princesses visiting the tables throughout the meal. While we enjoyed meeting with Cinderella downstairs, we really could just pass on having meal interrupted constantly by visiting princesses.

I have ADR's for October, it is our Disneymoon and I figured this would be somewhat romantic. I also wish we could skip the princesses, in fact I just want a picture of me and the DH, dunno if I could do that. Overall I think everything in Disney is for adults too!

:rotfl: I will never be a "real adult" heh heh, but I too enjoyed dinner in the ambiance of the castle prior to the princesses. Probably won't go again.

I've done an adults-only lunch there. We made sure we had an early seating for lunch (we were actually the first in the castle during lunch seating). We were able to skip the pictures, we got a special tour of the dining room by the hostess (she was really great!). They brought our food out quickly and we were almost done by the time it got really loud and crowded. We just wanted the experience of eating in the castle. This was also about three years ago, and I know they do things differently now.

A friend of mine had her 50th birthday dinner there last year. We had a party of 8 adults and her teenage son.

Now that they have princesses at dinner, it's probably the same as lunch -- that is, definitely not worth the price or the 2TS credits.

We used to love having lunch in the castle. The food was pretty good and the ambience was lovely. The princesses were sweet and gave each person as much (or as little) time as he/she wanted. The meal was relaxed with the waiters having time to chat. A well-known waiter there, David, totally charmed our boys (who were not really interested in the princesses) with pin discussions, etc. He also chatted with us, learned it was our anniversary and brought out a gift of lovely champagne goblets. For years, we had to do CRT for lunch just so we could see David!

Well, Disney management has decided to make the restaurant into a theme park ride now. They line everybody up, snap a picture, rush them into the dining room, get them seated, rush out the food, run the princesses around like they are in a marathon, rush everyone out and repeat the cycle. Obviously, they are trying to seat as many people as possible in as many seatings as possible for each meal.

The last time we went, the waiters were so rushed they couldn't spare a minute for anyone or anything. The hostess told my handicapped parents to "hurry up and sit down". The princesses ran around the room like it was overtime in a soccer match.

Most of the food items we liked are long gone -- prime rib, dinner rolls with micky butters, etc.

Our last lunch was three years ago. It was a huge disappointment. We have not been back and we will not go back.

I once thought that perhaps dinner would still be okay (and something like the old days) since they didn't appear to be exploiting the castle and the dinner for every last thin dime (as they were by then doing with lunch). However, now dinner also involves the princesses, it's probably the same situation as lunch.

As two adults, we would never choose to have dinner at CRT.

we had an adr there for the night before our wedding, to make a nice romantic meal. instead they didnt seat us for a long time b/c they overbooked and didnt have a table for us. they offered us to share a table with the other party who was waiting w/ us b/c they didnt have a table for him either. once the show was over and people left, that opened a spot for us. the hostess was so rude, she got mad after we said we wanted our own table b/c it's our last meal before getting married. she ignored us and didnt even tell us if we were going to be seated or not, which got me upset. i heard everyone else's excitement as the little show started and i got to sit and wait while the hostess wouldnt look at me at all and had such a pissy look on her face. it was the worst TS experience ever! I would NEVER eat there again! The food was gross as well, the meat was so salty and grey so unappealing. I went to the bathroom and stepped in puke on the way in. It was such a disaster. Atleast the server was nice and since she didnt charge us the 4 TS credits, she helped get us a signature adrs elsewhere and rearrange our adrs to make room for the new dinner. The flutes were nice as well and used them on our weddign night to sip chamagne by the water watchign the NYE fireworks on the beach of the Polynesian.

DH and I ate there ( we don't have kids yet) on our recent 3rd anniversary trip. The food was good but there was a long delay before we were seated. The dining room was crazy with all the princesses, but the each stopped at our table for photos and didn't treat us any differently because we were a party of adults.

We're glad that we did it for the experience, but we're not in a big hurry to do it again.

Me and my dbf just did dinner there and really enjoyed it. We were not rushed at all and all the characters spent time with us and chatted although if they could see you were in the middle of eating they were quick but polite and friendly. I loved going in the castle and thought that alone was worth it! Also we loved the new menu it was all yummy!

We didn't feel out of place at all as adults and both our server and the princesses made us feel welcome.

I was there for lunch last week with DH and my 2 sis-in-laws. We are all in our 20s and we loved it! It was my favorite dining experience of the whole trip. Our pic they took beforehand was really cute and I loved the Major Domo's Pie. Our waitress also gave each of us a wishing star and gave DH a sword and also gave us 3 girls a wand.
We also ordered the chocolate slippers for ourselves as a treat and it was so worth it! We had a blast! The only bad part was that they didn't have the cream cheese buckle on the menu anymore. I was pretty disappointed, but the slipper was so awesome and I was so full that I didn't care. As long as you are still a kid at heart I think you would like it at CRT :goodvibes

Last week while we were there I seen quite a few adults only parties there. If you want to do it then go for it!

I really liked it. My meal was delicious! The kids didn't eat much, and my dd really didn't eat at all because she was in awe of the princess':lovestruc
