With the refurbishments starting on the castle, are you currently able to walk through? We will be there next week for my daughter's 13th birthday. She's only been to WDW once before and the castle was closed at the time, so she's never gotten to even get really close to it, let alone see the murals and whatnot. Even if it's currently open, I know it could change before next week, but I'd like to prepare us if we know it's off limits again.

You should be able to walk through. Disney released an official statement that was a follow up to the refurb announcement. THey reiterated that the show on the front of the castle would still happen. And you can book Bibbity Boppity Boutique and Cinderellas Royal table restaurant ...you have to walk through the castle to get to both of those so you should be fine to walk through. Have fun!!!!!

Sorry, but it is not at all necessary to do that.

Those things operate even during the Castle Shows (which completely close center-castle access from the Hub.)
They just rebuilt and enlarged the west side of the castle pathway to easily handle many more guests.

Just to clarify, you don't have to walk through the castle to do bbb or crt, you can go to the back of the castle and enter that way

Yes but like Robo pointed out during the stage show the walk through is actually closed and you have to go through the back

Hmmmm...I found this in an article posted by a web site called Mercury News... If you really want to see the castle {walk though} you may need to book a BBB visit or meal at CRT....

"The castle will remain open during construction, Disney World officials said. The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique hair and makeup studio and Cinderella’s Royal Table restaurant will continue to operate during the castle renovation, officials said. Some pathways to the castle will be temporarily closed during construction officials said. "
