Cinderella's Castle for boys

We have boys 8 & 10 and are thinking about a breakfast at Cinderella's Castle for a MK day. Opinions, please!!!!!!

Well, eating inside the castle is very cool. But interacting with the princesses? You'd have to know your own kids and how they would react. Have you run the basic idea by them? If not, might be a good idea. When we went for breakfast, we saw Cinderella, Jasmine, Belle, Fairy Godmother, Sleeping Beauty, Mary Poppins, and I think Snow White. It was my sister and 2 little nieces (7 and 4.5 YO) and me. My BIL and 13YO nephew went off to do "guy stuff."

How about going for lunch when the princesses aren't there? That would get you all a nice meal inside the castle, but without the princess theme if you think your boys would squirm too much with all those girls around. LOL

i took my 23 year old son to cindy's breakfast. had a great time. the photo i have of him and cindy is priceless! and she is a real cutie. go for it!! the "girls" will probably just make over them.

I took my son last year to PSB. He was 7 and we went because my DD wanted to go. He hid under the table-he was mortified.

Lunch might be the way to go. It could be boys that age would like to be inside the castle, but maybe not the attention of the princesses (this changes as you get older, of course!). They serve a good lunch & it's a nice mid-day break.

I took 2 boys, 12 & 13 to the Castle for breakfast & they loved it. Both were into getting those hard to obtain Princess autograph's tho....

On another trip, we had a breakfast in MGM at the old Soundstage (now gone ) My teenage nephews really LOVED meeting Jasmine.....

It really depends on the child. My 8 year old son loves the princessess and always has. Last year when I asked him which character breakfast he wanted me to schedule for his birthday he asked for CRT. The princesses really do give the boys just as much attention as the girls. He has had quite a few lipstick marks on his cheeks and forehead over the years from those princessess.

I took my sons 2 years ago...7 and 10 at the time...and my young one was very content. He received all kinds of "lipstick" kisses on his checks as we were celebrating his birthday. My 10 yr old however said he was quite embarrassed that I made him sit thru a "girl" meal....LOL I don't think he ever got over it either. We are planning another trip down in October and the first thing my (now 12 pushing 13) DS said was "oh my gosh...please don't drag me back to that castle again!....LOL I guess its a good thing I got to go when I did back then because now they both cringe at the thought of the castle and all those "princesses" hovering over them.

Me....I totally enjoyed myself at the time and I was a mere 39

I've enjoyed reading all the replies! I guess it really depends on your child!

I was all excited because I recently bought tickets for me and my ds6 to see Beauty and the Beast at the local music theater. My ds didn't want to go because he was afraid there would be "too much kissing" and he "doesn't like too many girls." (I'll remind him of that comment when he is 15! ) Anyway - we went and had a great time (thank heavens for Geston!)

I would NEVER take him to the castle now - except for lunch.

We will be doing CRT for the first time in November. I was really excited to get it since I have never been there in all of our trips. I have 2 DSs (7 and 3). My youngest DS is a huge princess fan so despite the fact that it is my birthday, the meal is really for him. He just loves Snow White and Cinderella. Every day he tells me how we are going to eat at the castle with the princesses (Ella and No White). Now my 7 year old isn't that excited about it but I think secretly he thinks eating in the castle is cool. I'm excited just to be wearing my tiara!

That is why we had lunch in the castle. We still experienced the novelty of eating in the castle, but without the princesses. I wasn't sure how my (then 4 year old) grandson would act at a princess meal. As it turned out, Jasmine was in the waiting area. I think my DGS must have been "dazzled by her beauty" because he got very shy and would not have a photo taken with her. Skipping the princess breakfast and having lunch instead, was a good idea for us.

Thank you for all the replies. After talking to the boys we have decided to save Cinderella's table for lunch. They want to eat in the castle but without the princesses, lol!
