Dissers,

I have read of the special glass slipper dessert at the Grand Floridian before. Can you get it at any GF restaurant? We are on the meal plan on our upcoming vacation and I was wandering if it would pay for the dessert? If so, how do you go about getting it?

Thanks,
jmcalister

We were told this was only available at CRT and at any GF restaurant. As far as I am aware you must pay for it. We had it at CRT and paid $12.50 in October but I believe it is slightly more expensive at GF. Phone the cake hotline (page 1 of the cake thread) and go through the instructions for the GF. The dessert at the CRT was fantastic and i would highly recommend it. I have pictures but don't know how to post them here.

We ordered this for DD's 3rd birthday for our dinner at 1900 PF. It was a huge hit! It cost about $12.00, and our waiter made sure a big deal was made over DD. Here she is, with her dessert:

BTW, we also ordered the "dog bones" for our son so he wouldn't feel left out- too cute!

We will be having two slippers tomorrow at a cost of $12.50 each at Narcoossees. Can't wait to try them.:thumbsup2

Those look like great desserts! We are trying to decide between the Glass Slipper and the Mini Castle Cake to celebrate our trip in January. The dog bones are adorable, I had no idea they did those - are they cream puffs?

Yes, they were cream puffs. I had no idea about them either until I read about them on the DIS :thumbsup2

Great pictures of the slipper at GF they look nothing like the ones at CRT.

These special desserts that you can order ahead of time are NOT part of the dining plan.

Sounds like the price has come down on the slipper dessert offered at the GF. I paid $14 for it in 2005 and it was $12.50 at CRT.

Kim-

Do you remember the price of the Dog Bones?

I did the slippers when my DB & SIL came out for their last trip, but the bones look really interesting!

TIA.......
