My daughter heard about a Cinderella cake dessert at one of the restaurants, maybe a character meal. She is going at the same time we are and staying at the POFQ. It was like a little wedding cake dessert. Does anyone know where this might be. My daughter has two little girls that are looking forward to the trip.

There is an individual cake with a white chocolate castle on the top... it resembles a mini wedding cake... it can be ordered from the Grand Floridian bakery and can be served at any one of the GF restaurants for dessert if you order it in advance... I believe the cake is about 5 inches and costs $25. There are some pictures of this cake on this board.. just do a search for "castle cake"

ETA.. here is a link showing a picture of the cake

You've already gotten the info, just wanted to share that this is the best cake I have ever tasted and I definitely recommend it! :thumbsup2 :wizard:

You also might be thinking of the actual Cinderella Castle Cake that someone on the "birthday cake" thread had ordered for their daughter at 1900 PF. That is what I am ordering for my DD's 4th birthday. From her description (I wrote it all down so the CM would know what I was talking about!): 6" vanilla cake filled with white chocolate mousse and covered with white chocolate frosting. Decorated with a colored white chocolate stand-up of Cinderella along with the white chocolate castle along with a white chocolate slipper filled with chocolate truffles. The phone number was 407-824-2982 and if I am remebereing corretly, the whole thing cost about $60. If I can find the picture again, I will post.

I found it!;

I want to order this cake too without the cinderella. Please post what happens when you try to order. I was going to try to go to GF bakery to order it.

Just an fyi...GF bakery is not a 'real' bakery with a store front that you can go in and order things. They are only the bakery for weddings and the restaurants. The only way to order things from them is via the phone.

Thanks...can you inagine me walking around GF looking for a bakery and probably even asking. So, my best bet then is to call direct and give the explanation above? Some CM I called said they do not put the slipper on the cake...but I see it in the picture. They said to ask concierge at my hotel to help me with the cake. O.k. now is Boardwalk Bakery a real bakery or is that just a kitchen too? I want a Mickey cake from Boardwalk Bakery.

Someone had success ordering that cake this morning. This is what she wrote:

I got through!

I finally got through by calling the main number at the GF and having them patch me through. A person answered on my first attempt dialing that way. I ordered DD the white choc cake with the Cinderella and Slipper on top. Thanks to everyone who posted pics and suggestions. I'll post my pics when we get back!

Regarding the Boardwalk Bakery, yes, it is an actual Bakery that's located right on the Boardwalk.
