Hi all! Newbie here planning my first trip in April with my husband and two girls, ages 7 and 6. For one of our days, I have BBB and then CRT lunch scheduled right after. Then I'm hoping to snag Anna & Elsa fastpasses for the same day so my girls can meet them while they are all dressed up. But do we need to go see Cinderella at Fairytale Hall too? Won't we see her at lunch? Seeing Cinderella is a must for my 6 year old so I need to be sure I have this straight.

Unrelated question, is Rope Drop a must-do experience?

1. But do we need to go see Cinderella at Fairytale Hall too? Won't we see her at lunch? Seeing Cinderella is a must for my 6 year old so I need to be sure I have this straight.

1. Meeting her at the restaurant will be nice.
If you want to meet her again, that's fine, too.
(To tell you what you or your 6yo will or won't like is difficult to do.)
2. While the "show" is fun, I consider that being able to enter the park and ride attractions with smaller wait-time... before it fills with so many more guests... to be the
main reason for getting there for rope drop.

You really only "need" to visit Cinderella in Fairytale Hall if you also wanted to meet Rapunzel. She fills in sometimes at CRT for one of the other princesses, but is not a regular there. Cinderella in the lobby of CRT is a regular.

Since you meet Cinderella at her throne room for a posed photo prior to getting seated in the restaurant upstairs, in my opinion, that is enough of a meet and I wouldn't think the separate meet is necessary. This differs from the way you'll meet other princesses during the meal as they come by your table one at a time to say hello, sign an autograph, take a picture. I love these visits too, but those pictures have fining chairs and food in the foreground, other people in the background, pretty tricky lighting in there, but I think the time spent with them is about the same.

Depends on your child. My DD (10) has always adored Cinderella. We have been taken her to WDW since she was 2, and she always wants to see her at CRT AND also a separate time during our trip at Fairytale Hall. If you are only doing 1 MK day, I would think meeting her at CRT would be plenty, but if you are doing more than one MK day, a visit to her park meet and greet on your non- CRT day might be great for a big Cinderella fan-- and also as others have said that is the way to meet Rapunzel. Cinderella and Rapunzel's line isn't as crazy as A&E, so while it can get long- you can also typically find times of the day when it is not so bad. As far as whether rope drop is a must do- for us rope drop has become very important since FP+. Even though we go at non-peak times we have found the stand by lines to have increased significantly in our 3 FP+ trips. With the inability to pull FPs as needed and the increased lines, we find it extremely important to be there at rope drop and get as much in as we can before the lines build up. That is our preference though.

I think rope drop at the Magic Kingdom is a must-do for first timers! The opening show is adorable and really sets the mood for a magical day! Plus you'll then see the Main Street vehicles going up and down the street. It's really a WDW treat!
