I’m sure there’s an extensive discussion somewhere on the board about this (but I can’t find it), - we are debating an ADR between Cinderella’s Royal Table and Be Our Guest.
We have two boys, who don’t mind princesses but aren’t necessarily into them, so I think Be Our Guest is probably the winner. But I’m curious about perspectives on the topic too. Thanks.

If you go before the princesses are brought back, it'd be a good time to experience the castle with the boys.

That being said, both places are fun and unique Experiences with good food. I really enjoyed seeing the inside of Cinderella castle. It's very cool, but I'd give the food advantage to be our guest. I'd recommend checking the menu and making sure there's something for everyone in your party though.

Both Cinderella and the Beast are seen in their respective castles right now, but no other princesses or characters at this time.

Based on what you said, I agree with your assessment. I'm sure they'll enjoy visiting the West Wing and with the Beast around they will love that as well.

I’d pick BOG over the castle any day, but if your kids haven’t been to CRT before I’d go with that, it’s something everyone visiting WDW should do at least once IMo

I would point out that for CRT- while its very much a premium priced place, you are paying more for the location and the characater visits moreso than the food which is decent, but far from signature quality.

Whereas BOG is now a legit signature restaurant, so you will (in theory) get a higher quality meal there (excluding personal subjective opinions of course on type of food preferred)

We are 2 mid 60s, no kids. We ate at both in April. Hadn’t eaten at CRT in a few years. We were very pleasantly surprised with the fillet… it was delicious. The whole meal was very good quality. We both had the fillet at BOG too & it was also very good. Actually hard to pick which one was better. We have reservations for both again in September. What can I say, my DH likes fillet.

Cinderella waves from the far end of the room. The Beast walks thru all the rooms, waves & bows. Easier to see him no matter where you are seated. We were in the corner on the opposite side of the room from Cinderella & it was a little hard to see her. Besides the West Wing, the BOG castle has the talking suits of armor your boys might like. Good luck deciding.

All things considered I would go with CRT over BOG right now.

I had dinner at both at the end of May/June and CRT was by the superior meal in terms of food quality, which was kind of shocking to me--it was one of the better meals I had on that trip, actually. The filet was definitely better at CRT. BOG wasn't bad but not at the quality it was when it first went to prix fixe dinner, and not being able to ask where I sat was a bummer. I love the West Wing and was sat in the ballroom instead, which...I'm not a fan of, at all, aside from the theming. It was disappointing and I will not be back in October with gf.

As character interaction goes, Cindy actually came over and had distanced conversations with the tables, she didn't just come out and wave. Beast does a walk through a few times during the meal and that's it. So even without the other princesses I would still give the nod to CRT.

I prefer BOG over CRT, as did my family. The food was better and I like the ambiance as well. If you cannot decide, go with the cheapest and use the money you saved towards something else on the trip.

I'd like to add that I've many times read on here that with CRT you're "paying for the characters (pre-covid) and the view and experience more than the food", but I actually found the food to be surprisingly good. I mean, it should be at that price point, but this is Disney dining so it's often a toss up as we all know . But really, it was quite good and I'd definitely be thrilled to go back. I hope they bring back the breakfast soon, too.

I have a CRT ADR coming up and I wanted to double check that the prepaid amount already includes the tip. Is that accurate?

Good question. I would look at how much you paid. From what I can see, adult dinners are 62 + tax and gratuity, and children are 37 + tax and gratuity. So if you paid around 80 per adult and 48 per child ( rough estimate as I don’t remember how much tax or gratuity they add) you should be all paid up.

Looks like we paid $77.19 per adult. My LO is only 20 months so he's "free". Guess the gratuity is included then. Thanks!

We went to CRT this month. First time ever. We also ate at California Grill this trip. The filet was the same in both restaurants and it was excellent. In fact, our entire meal at CRT was excellent. I wouldn't say it isn't signature quality food. We have two boys. My 3 year old unfortunately slept thru Cinderella but my 5 yr old son, who is not into princesses, blushed and beamed when she called him a prince. It was really cute. We liked CRT a lot. Being in the castle was really cool. I enjoyed the waiting area. I would go back for sure. Considering it is 3 courses, it's a better value than some of the other restaurants in a lot of senses.

As a fellow boy mom I would say that now is the perfect time to visit CRT. I have always wanted to eat in the castle but couldn't convince my (now teenage) boys to have a princess meal. But right now with the lack of princesses and the (very slightly) lower price, I convinced them to go in March and we had a great meal. Really enjoyed the food and the quick visit from Cinderella didn't even bother them ;)

BOG is one we've done several times and also enjoy, but there is something about eating in the castle that is super special.
